Amazing place, lovely staff. Dog friendly too!! They have a whole wall of photos of their regular dogs. Really yummy coffees. Got the eggs on toast and brioche French toast both delicious. Looks like a small cafe from the front but it’s huge on the inside. They have a little library where you can take home books and swap them for one you’ve already read. Lots of plants just an all over really cool place. You expect to pay quite a bit but it’s quite a good price for how awesome the food is. This will now be my regular cafe.
Had the most amazing fresh food. First time dining here. Will totally recommend a visit from my West Coast friends and family. Lovely coffees and latte. Very tasty . Excellent staff , very friendly and helpful finding us a seat whilst very busy. Will definitely go back .Food: 5/5
I went to Hello Sunday with a friend this morning for brunch. I chose it because I had been for a few years and they don't have the typical menu. The service was great and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend especially if you like to try something different. They also now have more space, which was an issue in the past. Well done Hello Sunday team.
This is a great place to visit for brunch, I always like it because the menu is a little but different to the standard menu items. Great food and drinks. It's a popular place though so I would highly recommend booking, if you plan on going.Food: 5/5
Lovely brunch experience We went to Hello Sunday Cafe for a brunch on. Saturday. We were glad that we had booked ahead. The place was totally full, which is not unexpected considering the food they serve. Between three of us, we had a shakshouka, a warm winter salad and brioche French toast. All the items were well presented and very tasty. We had a wonderful brunch experience! This was our 2nd visit, and as enjoyable and satisfying as the first one. We would highly recommend the Hello Sunday Cafe - on any day of the week!
Trendy brunch place with a cozy atmosphere that is a combination of rustic, contemporary, and completely homey. Unfortunately such a bustling restaurant tends to be loud and with the popularity the service is on the slow side but never lacking in courtesy. I enjoyed my smoothie very much but was a little disappointed in the beef cheek hash. It was well-prepared and beautifully presented but the flavor was a little flat and could have benefitted from a heavier hand with the seasoning. Although I didn't try it the french toast looked like a work of art and even though I am notnusually a fan of a sweet breakfast I think I might order that the next time around. But on the whole the food was good, the atmosphere was charming, the service was good when you favor in how busy they were. I would definitely give it another try and wasn't unhappy.
It's not often I find a place that ticks all the boxes, fab food, decor, ambience, service etc.... but this is it! I popped in today, miserable pouring rain, wrongly assuming they'd be quiet. It was busy and they had many bookings but fitted me in and I'm soooooo pleased about that! My server, also named Erin, was amazing, super friendly, service was fast and both the food and coffee was spectacular!! Highly highly recommend. Can't wait to come try some more delights on the menu, but the croffle was divine! Thanks Hello Sunday!
Absolutely definitely positively one of the top 10 cafes in town. Great atmosphere. Booking is highly recommended. Will definitely go back!
Some of the yummiest lunch I've had in Christchurch. They can get busy so be sure to call ahead! Beef hash was very yummy, 5 stars! The tomato dish was so-so in flavor, but was well presented and complimented the beef-hash well. 3/5 stars.
Nothing short of unreal. The place was packed so we expected the food to take a lot longer than it did. Staff were nice and friendly, and you could not fault the food! 5 stars is not enough! Hands down the best cafe we’ve been to in Christchurch so far.
