Located at the Whakatane town centre, it is a nice motel. Part of it is a heritage building, and the rest is newly built on a modern concept. Studio rooms are clean, of anndecent size and have a jug, microwave, bar fridge, and cutlery but not a fully functional kitchen.
The rooms are simple but lacking in a few amenities. We didn't see any communal kitchen so the only thing available is a microwave in the room along with a bar fridge, electric jug and cutlery. Bed is pretty hard if that's your thing. Location is within Whakatane CBD so perfect for those without much in the way of transport.
We made a booking and advised we were not going to get there until around 10pm. Di texted me a picture to show where the room was and when we got there the lights and heater were on to welcome us. The rooms are spotlessly clean and modern
Breaks the ideal of a traditional motel with its cool industrial looking exterior and modern and minimal interior.nnLocated down towards the pier, and walking distance to town, yet still quiet.nnRooms are crisp and clean and the small details count with sweet touches of whittakers chocolate squares in the kitchenette.nnOskar is the best welcome host and the owners are super lovely.nnWe’d happily stay here again.
Fantastic location, modern fittings, large shower with great water pressure, comfy bed and free wifi.nFaultless presentation and cleanliness, recommend
