Takanini Library and Community Hub

I love studying at the library, but I've noticed recently that it's losing its true purpose as a quiet space for reading and studying. There is always loud music or too much happening at Takinini library. While I understand that times change and libraries need to evolve to accommodate different ages, genders, and groups, it would have been great if they had preserved the original essence of a library by maintaining a dedicated quiet room for study. Now, I have to seek out a library farther from my neighborhood just to find the focus I need.

Hello. I am a regular here and I would like to say to those who are dissapointed in the noise and events. If you have a problem than please go somewhere that fits you, The staff are lovely and don't deserve these kinds of reviews. Also If you haven't noticed its not just 'Library' but also a 'community hub' I swear even adults cant read. use your brain and go somewhere else instead of reviewing

I was just disappointed that you made the library not functional by hosting a cultural event right in the MIDDLE of it. All the book shelves were moved away. I felt so sorry for the people trying to get some work done in the computers while the loud music speakers were blasting. Is there no other community facility in Takinini to host a cultural events? Do you not want people to use your library facility for its main purpose? Is there no other room in this building to host a cultural or community event ? My main issue was the library could not be used for his main purpose. Please talk to your local board and get them to provide you another space for this.nnDo you really want to promote literacy and love for reading ?nnWe love your library normally - books, quietness, get work done, bonus: slide, coffee/tea facilities.nnI'm extra annoyed because I had to leave with 3 children and no books.

First of all the staff are helpful. The room in which I exercise had a timeline about the treaty of Waitangi. There were dates of when important events of history took place, especially in this area of takaanini. I thought this was very important in my growth of understanding the issues surrounding the treaty of Waitangi.
