This was beautiful and a lot more fun than we thought it would be for a gondola ride and a luge ride, especially since I'd never done a summer luge before. The gondola was really well run, easy to get on and off, and the staff were very accommodating for those of us who were slower.nnThe breakfast buffet was *amazing*. The chef behind the breakfast bar was making these astonishing fried eggs, and there was actually black pudding along with most of the rest of a great British style-breakfast. Lots of fruit, including the local canned plums, and all one might want for breakfast.nnThe luge was super safe, actually. I loved that if you accidentally let go of the handlebar it would automatically brake you to a standstill. The courses were clean and clear and easy to follow, the higher ranked courses had good banking, the easy one didn't have any banks, but I suspect they assumed you weren't going to be going that fast anyway and it brought me through some beautiful forest spaces there. It was fun to see the wildlife that had come to exist there as the people were pretty much stuck to the courses but the wildlife were content to just be clear of the tracks.nnWe also found a nature walk, that had quite a few detailed signs for the kinds of wildlife, plant life, and features one should be able to see in the area. That was more fun than I thought it would be and the walking trail is actually quite a good distance and up a good grade.
The best day ever! So much fun. We booked the gondola, Zipline and 3 luge rides. Very good value for money and so easy to book online. Gondola ride had beautiful views. The view from the top is incredible. The cafe had a lot of variety and was also very affordable. All the staff were brilliant and so accommodating. Felt completely safe on all the activities. You must do the luge! So so fun. And they are right when they say once is never enough. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing, my son and I had so much fun and the restaurant was great, even though I didn't realise from web research that it was a buffet! The buffet was top notch, restaurant quality food. We bought extra luge tickets we enjoyed it so much, and they allowed us to come back to complete our adventure pass activities after the weather stopped us doing the skyswing and skyline, but we had great fun luge-ing all day in the rain! Luge'd again when it was dry and it was still fun but we were used to drifting around the corners in the rain and going faster, so don't let bad weather put you off! We're returning again in 3 weeks! Sorry, all other photos had my son and I don't want to post him online!
We had so much fun!!! We bought the gondola + 5 luge rides package, which I would highly recommend as 5 was the perfect amount any less would be disappointing and any more would be boring. We went on a weekday so there wasn't a ton of waiting around in the line, and the last ride had no line at all. The tracks were varied and all a blast.nnWhat to expect:n- Pay at the bottom and keep your luge ticket safe!n- Take the gondola upn- Grab your luge helmetn- Wait in linen- Get your ticket scanned, get in a cart and receive a short presentation on how the cart works from an employee -- then off you go!n- At the bottom, roll your cart onto the collection track and take the chairlift upn- Rinse and repeat!nnNote: Your helmet keeps track of photos taken of you in action, and you can scan your helmet when you're done to purchase your photos. Pretty cool technology! Though I think the photos are vastly overpriced once you want to buy more than 3-4.nnI would definitely recommend doing the luge in the morning, then enjoying lunch at the Stratosfare Restaurant.
Had a great visit to skyline last week. Had a meal up at the restaurant and was very happy with the quality and quantity of food. We had a 5pm time slot and was given a great spot at the window. The luge itself was great fun as I remember from the last time I went. Had barely any wait so we picked a good time. This time bought our 5yr old to celebrate her birthday. Minimum 4.5 out of 5: id give it 5 if it was a little bit less expensive but was cheap as chips for her: staff in the restaurant were also lovely and very attentive. Definitely recommend :
