Kuirau Park - Mud Pools

Has a few hot pools and mud pools. Quite a bit of geothermal activity around the park. Is a decent size and has foot baths. Fairly well maintained but has areas that are fenced off due to flooding. Overall pretty good for a free place to go

In its simplicity there was much beauty! A beautiful way to just get out and go for a walk. I highly recommend visiting at sunset. The golden glow of the setting sun shinning through the mist creates a beautiful scene.

With only a short time in Rotorua while passing through we didn’t want to spend it crowded tourist at the regular spots.nnKuirau park is a large well maintained public park with free entry where you can experience the thermal activity that Rotorua is famous for. All free of charge with no crowds. The place is quite large with plenty to see, so much so that we didn’t get to see it all.nnFor the money conscious traveler this is a must visit experience.

Excellent free geothermal pools you can walk around, in a public park with useful information boards and a free thermal foot bath.nWould 100% recommend.nExcellent place to view the geothermal activity with different sized pools with steam, bubbling geothermal water or mud.nThe footbath was great too!

Beautiful place that you can visit without spending money. Easy walk lots of hot springs and mud pools and a free thermal foot bath just walk around
