Skyline Luge Launch Area 2

We loved the experience, but it was really, really crowded and the helmets were really stinky and even wet from sweat from the person before us. I would definitely recommend giving it a go anyways!

So much fun for the whole family! The staff were friendly and made everything run smoothly. Hardly any wait time, and the tracks were well maintained and exciting. Beautiful views from the top too, we could’ve stayed all day! Highly recommend if you’re visiting Rotorua.

Tips for the luge: First time riders have longer waits than others due to instructions. We had to wait 30 min first time peak season but only 10 min thereafter. There are two launch areas: The one in the back has much shorter lines. You can buy additional luge tickets on top of the mountain. Families can share 5-ride tickets etc, so much cheaper than buying multiple singles.

Such a great time! Spend 2-3 hours outside zooming down the mountain with the wind in your face...ride back up the mountain on the chair lift. Fabulous restaurant at the top for snacks or a full lunch.nFun for the family.

Loved riding Skyline’s fast, long, & fun luge!! The views & LED tunnels were awesome!! Wish I had remembered to keep my helmet, as it had a QR code for photos of me during the ride!! I gave it 4 stars as the price of tickets was very costly!
