Waited 1 hour 30 minutes for first dish to arrive, which was the smelly tofu 6 small pieces for $12, quite a rip off.nnAround 2 hours of waiting our 2 mains came, the portion size was average and there was not a lot of meat, the mains were filled with celery and onions. Rice was $4 a bowl???!!nnThere was no service to be had, I was told which table I could go to, and I got the cutlery, plates and water myself. Plates and bowls were all chipped.nn3 other tables also complained about the wait time but there was no rush, the owner/chef didn’t really care. This place is a overhyped as they were on a TV show which probably has made them delusional in delulu land…nnHad to move my car from P120 cause it took so long, very poor experience.nnTotal cost for 2 was $104, taste was average not worth the wait.

Absolutely love this place, it’s the most authentic Hunan cuisine in Auckland. Chef is literally a master, food was delicious and very spicy!! highly recommend the fish

Nice Chinese food and big portions.nReasonably fast response time as well. Food was served within 10-15 mins.nnSmoked pork with bamboo shoots was great; And also ordered a stir fried chicken item - Dong'an Chicken. Fairly good.nOne can also try their smelly tofu.

This restaurant serves tasty food that both my husband and I enjoyed. Hunan food is very spicy but they happily toned it back for my husband, who can't handle too much chilli.nnThe menu is very porky but I don't like pork so we tried various other options instead. The smelly tofu entree was suitably pungent and came topped with hot chilli. It was too hot for my husband but just right for me so I hoovered it all up.nnWe also had hot and sour pickled radish, dong 'an chicken and stir fried chicken. All were lovely.nnThe owner was friendly and interested to know what we thought of the food given we were the only non Asian patrons. The only negative - and it's not a big deal - is that the owner was busy in the kitchen when we arrived and it took quite a while before she noticed us standing at the counter. But we didn't mind too much and would happily eat there again.

The best Hunan restaurant that I have ever been in Auckland. Very nice stir fry dishes. The chef is literally a master.
