Canton Soup Restaurant

Love this place! Been going here with my parents since i was small and the food is just so homey. we got the milk and ginger one as a dessert after having dinner on dominion road and it was just the perfect dessert. I find it really helpful that the menu also mentions what each dessert is good for. the one i ordered is good for complexion and it was so yum!! totally recommend for anyone who’s in the area!

Traditional canton soup, very delicious. The price is affordable and it’s a quite good choice for one or two people to enjoy a healthy simple meal.

Came here to try their desserts as I saw they make a few Cantonese style puddings and sweet soups including Coconut Sago, Red Bean Soup to Steamed Milk Puddings.nnI got a few of the puddings and a sweet soup type desserts including: Ginger in Milk, Coconut Sago, Sweet Steamed Egg, and Double Layer Milk Pudding all costed from $3 - $5 each.nAll the pudding type desserts were well made and very smooth with a creamy milk flavour and wasn't too sweet.nThe Ginger in Milk I chose to have heated additional 20c. It wasn't too sweet but had a bitter taste to which I assume is normal from the ginger. It's definitely a nice dessert for the cold winter time but I don't think I'd get this again as I'm not used to the flavour.nnAside from desserts, I'd say their main products would be their range of special soups but they also have various rice dishes. They used to have a menu filled with an extensive range of both savoury and sweet soups, along with rice dishes but recent visit here it looks like the menu has significantly shrunk.nnThe interior of the shop resembles an old style/ rugged Cantonese herbal store/cafe though sadly the ambience is awkwardly quiet with a gloomy staff member on site that could use some cheering up and some kids in the kitchen keeping to themselves.nnOverall, a good little Cantonese soup and dessert shop that is well priced and worthy of revisiting.

Highly recommend the cake roll, only $5 for two slices, and they taste so good

Authentic canton shop. Very yummy dishes with special focus on soups. Don't forget to try desserts.
