Comfortable stay. Very clean and spacious. Great view looking out to the harbour on the 8th floor. We had an Executive Double Queen for a family of 3 adults.nnGreat Reception staff, efficient and very helpful.nnBreakfast was basic but was part of room rate.nnBasement parking is very limited and parks were very very tight. Roof over most of the parking lots were very low that when you open your car hatch would be touching the roof or pipes above. Be aware if parking in the basement.
Excellent Hotel, within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Reception staff kind and polite and went out of their way to offer assistance to a travel companion requiring medical attention. Rooms were spacious, clean and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Restaurant and laundry facilities on site makes this hotel a perfect place after a New Zealand adventure. I highly recommend The Scenic Hotel Dunedin City. Thankyou for your country town style of hospitality.
Staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel has a musty smell , rooms are clean, rooms need to be upgraded and refreshed. Very convenient spot to stay in. Overall not too bad
We had an amazing time at the Scenic Hotel. Location was perfect- close to the Octagon and everything we needed. The room was very spacious and clean. Finally to top it all off, Shiela made our stay absolutely perfect. She was kind, polite and went above and beyond her call of duty. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Dunedin!
We travelled down to Dunedin for a wedding, not realising that our trip was at the same time as the uni graduation was going on, so many hotels were full of students and their families. However, our stay was totally undisturbed, peaceful and quiet. The room was very comfortable, clean, and had a lovely view of the harbour. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Dunedin and within easy walking distance of great restaurants and the lovely architecture of the city. A big thanks to Sheila who showed us great kindness and care which made our stay even better!
