Scenic Hotel Dunedin City

This was my third time in Dunedin, and my second time staying there. The location was good, the room was spacious and relaxing, and the sheets and towels were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious. I was especially impressed by the cheerful smiles of the reception staff. All the staff were always friendly. However, when I returned to my room at 4pm, it hadn't been cleaned yet, so it would have been better if the room cleaning time had been a little earlier and if the area under the window frames had been wiped down.

Great central location and good rates overall. Room was very spacious and clean, loved the accessibility to turning off lights for the room near the bed : I ordered the lamb burger and chips and was really impressed with the quality of the room service food and portion sizes. Will definitely be back.

Great place to stay, location perfect staff were friendly, helpful and very pleasant. Nice breakfast and dinning was excellent. .nRoom was very nice, big comfy bed and pillows. Highly recommend

We really loved the roomy space of our room. However, the room and bathroom are very dated and in need of updating. ALL the pillows desperately need REPLACING! Breakfast buffet is great and the gal in charge worked hard to get keep items in the buffet stocked. The staff are wonderful and work hard make your stay comfortable.

My stay at Scenic hotel dunedin was underwhelming, mainly due to false advertising and lackluster service. The hotel claims to offer parking, but upon arrival, I was informed that no parking was available. This led to unnecessary hassle and extra costs for finding parking elsewhere.nnAdditionally, the staff lacked warmth and hospitality—there were no smiles, no welcoming gestures, and interactions felt transactional rather than friendly. While the rooms were clean, the overall experience was far from inviting.nnIf you're looking for a place with genuine hospitality and convenient parking, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
