The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff were great, but our king deluxe room was quite small, with a very small bathroom. There was quite a lot of street noise that we could hear from the 6th floor. We understand this is not something you can control, but perhaps with thicker or double glazed windows some of the street noise could have been blocked. The bed was comfy but the temperature of the shower was up and down and hard to control. We expected a bit more for what the room cost.nnAs far as the restaurant and staff, we could fault neither. Everyone we came across was very helpful and the food from the restaurant was outstanding, as were the cocktails. Dinner and breakfast service were both excellent. Thank you to the wonderful team for making us feel so welcome.
Loved it here! Great fancy and clean hotel. The valet service is great.nnWe weren't able to eat at the restaurant, they seem to always be booked out for ages and only have like 8 tables so they book out fast.nnBut yes very happy with the hotel, I give it 5 stars. We will be back for sure!nnWe liked sitting in the library downstairs and the hotel was quite central to town
Lovely hotel in central Dunedin area. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the customer service is excellent.nParticularly Chloe, Charlotte and Lorenzo did an amazing job in the few days I stayed here, consistently going the extra mile to make my experience perfect.
Just stayed two nights in this beautifully renovated hotel. The room had central thermostat, dimmer lights, super comfortable king bed, luxurious rain shower, Nespresso coffee machine etc. Moreover, the staff was superb, especially Mohammed who went out of his way on a couple of special requests. The hotel is just a few blocks from the Octagon, train station, settlers museum etc. If you are staying on a weekday, make sure you book parking.
Fantastic venue and hotel. We recently hosted a business event and stayed the night and the service we received was exemplary. Charlotte in particular was excellent and we would love to stay and use the Fable again in the future.
