I recently stayed at ebb Dunedin and genuinely loved many things about the hotel. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom products soap, shampoo, conditioner smell amazing and feel luxurious. Even walking through the hallways is a pleasure, with the art adding a beautiful touch throughout the building. The staff were consistently friendly, warm and lovely, which made the stay feel very welcoming.nnThe only reason I couldn’t give a full five stars is due to the location of the hotel directly opposite a dumpster area which disrupted my sleep. Throughout the early hours of the morning, trucks were dumping rubbish and glass recycling, and the noise carried straight into the room. There are also bright lights from the dump that shine into the rooms, and even with block‑out curtains the space stayed quite bright overnight. I only discovered the note about requesting earplugs and an eye mask on the second day — they would have been very helpful on night one when I was woken multiple times between 2am and 5am.nnI understand the hotel can’t control the placement of the dumpster, but should consider soundproof windows and providing earplugs as a standard amenity on arrival would make a big difference. Given the area is shared with accommodation, it’s surprising there isn’t some kind of curfew for the trucks.nnIf you’re planning a stay, I’d recommend asking for a room away from the main road to ensure a peaceful sleep. Despite the noise issue, the hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with genuinely lovely staff.
This is an amazing hotel and the most wonderful kind caring team. Very highly recommended. Nothing is too much trouble and always go above and beyond to assist. Lovely and handy to Dunedin Hospital. We have already recommended to friends who have also enjoyed and loved their stay. The interiors are to die for, and so spacious and comfortable. Absolutely fantastic stay
This hotel is by far one of the absolute best places I've stayed in. Specially the suite!! Goals for my own bathroom someday.nnThe staff is incredibly kind and helpful.nnModern, cool. So, SO comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Parking in the hotel, cafe, and easy to get to. I've been fortunate to have experienced 5 star accommodations, but honestly, for many reasons this hotel is at the top of those big fancy hotels.
I had a wonderful stay at EBB Dunedin, and it is honestly one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in.nnThe hotel is stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I also really enjoyed the coffee and food—they were both excellent and made the experience even more enjoyable.nnA special thank you to Kyla at the front desk. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived much later than expected. Even though it was already late in the evening, she welcomed us with a warm smile, patiently helped us through the check-in process, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready despite the delay. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel truly welcomed after a long journey.nnThank you, Kyla, for making our stay start on such a positive note.nnI highly recommend EBB Dunedin to anyone visiting Dunedin. I would definitely stay here again!
Ebb is my favourite place to stay in Dunedin. It has a real sense of quiet luxury—beautifully designed, consistently comfortable, and always welcoming. Check-in is effortless, the service is friendly and reliable every time, and the café on site is excellent. The central location means you can easily walk to everything the city has to offer. I always look forward to staying here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it :
