Kingsgate Hotel Dunedin

This is has been our favourite place to stay in Dunedin for a while now. Beds are so comfy and the junior suites are so roomy! Breakfast is delicious and included in the room rate. Special mention must be made of the fabulous young man at reception who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and provide great service!!

Clean and comfortable beds. Hotel is a little older and location is excellent. Parking can be tricky but I managed to get one 3/3 nights i stayed. As some have mentioned, walls are on the thinner side but I have never stayed in a hotel where I haven't heard other guests. Outside noise is minimal for being in the city. Breakfast was part of the rate and included an excellent selection of both hot and cold options. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Vending machine in foyer with selection of snacks and cold drinks for your convenience. Certainly would stay here again.

Great location, very comfortable beds and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to resolve a noise situation. Very happy and will definitely stay here again.

the Hotel was a bit outdated but very clean and handy to where I needed to be and to town.nnPomare on the front desk was exceptional - welcoming, approachable, sincere and very personable.nnThank you, I would come again - I did need the exercise up and down the stairs :-

3rd time staying at the Kingsgate hotel. Absolutely love it! Rooms are clean,warm and comfortable. So central to everything. Lovely full breakfast buffet. Absolutely friendly helpful staff even let me leave my suitcases to pick up in the afternoon. I was early for my shuttle pick up so they let me wait in the lounge area with heater on and tv. Sure we t the extra mile. So appreciated it. Thank you see you next year!
