At first you think you walking into an emergency department since the staff are running around doing all they can to accommodate to their clients and there are so MANY, yet they manage to do a great job and also very helpful when asking questions or having concerns. Also they have toys and accessories from wall to wall so the waiting room is never boring. Pricing is great too .
Super rude. It felt like the lady was talking down on me the whole time and barely talked to me when we went to pick up our cat after he had surgery. I don’t feel comfortable going back, it feels very crowded in there. The way she acted, to me speaks volumes. She just told us to feed him like normal and let him outside after a day and then she stormed off. I didn’t even get a chance to say anything or ask questions. I get that people have bad days but she was talking to other customers nicely and with manners. I was quite thrown off.
Great experience I don't normally take the cats but I wanted to take our girl because we lost her brother 2 weeks ago. The vet was super nice and Ru took to her straight away. Quick and easy!
I wish it was possible to give 0 stars. I had an absolutely horrific experience with this vet clinic. My cat received dental surgery to remove a tooth. Barely any handover given when I picked him up, and no post-op appt offered with the operating vet. I called the practice a few days later to say that something didn’t seem right, that my cats breath smelt and his gum was black. They told me it was likely just bruising. When I asked how long to give him pain meds for, they said they didn’t know. I ended up booking him in again a week after the surgery because of my concerns. The appt was made with a different vet, and she was half an hour late. At the appt she looked in my cats mouth for less than 10 seconds, said that he had food stuck in the surgical wound, flushed it with a syringe and sent me on my way with antibiotics. I didn’t feel comfortable with the care or the support I was receiving from this practice, so booked in with another practice and was told immediately that my cat had necrosis and that he was showing clear signs of tissue and bone death. Since then, I have had to spend almost $2000 in paying for additional surgery to remove the infected bone and tissue, and more than a month of heavy duty antibiotic treatment. All of which I feel could have been avoided had the original surgery been completed to an appropriate standard, and/or had the infection been identified at follow up appt. I have since sent multiple emails to the practice requesting a refund and have been ignored. After almost two months the owner finally returned my contact and asked me to send her receipts for the care he has since received, stating that she would “sort it out between us” and implying she would provide a refund. Since sending the receipts and invoices I have not heard a thing for a fortnight, despite sending a text and a couple of follow up emails. On the phone the owner also told me that the vet who performed my cats surgery was very ill following the surgery so has not been available to discuss the surgery or outcome of it. This to me suggests that she was not well enough to have been performing the surgery in the first place. Really, really concerning practice and abhorrent service. If you care about your pets well-being please do not take them to this vet clinic. I am in the process of approaching the vet council to report my experience, which is something I would not do unless I felt it absolutely necessary.
Have been wonderful to me and my furbabies. Had to let my beautiful cat go yesterday, and i was given as much time as i wanted to stay with her. Rachel was amazing she gave me huge hugs while I was breaking down and let me go without paying when she realised I wasn't coping and I came back today to pay. Thank you for the care you've given to my three fur babies. You guys rock.
Very attentive and considerate of my highly-reactive dog. They let me come in last after all the other pets left the clinic. Vet was very calm n helpful n lovely. Love my vet clinic - they are the best
I want to thank the older lady that helped me and my husband today. With the advice she gave was amazing and saved us a bill that we would not have been able to pay for. It was very busy but the receptionist always provided an update. The vet lady doctor was awesome and went out of her way to thoroughly check our baby. I wouldnt have known to find this vet if it wasn't for another vets recommendation. Thank You Mangere Vets..
Thank you to Rachel, Sam, Gavin & Anne, Angelica & Luke.. the whole team. Thank you for all the help you guys provide for our baby bulldog Leo. And for trying to always fit us in last minute even when you guys are busy as trying to juggle other pets in there as well. I recommend this Vet to pet owners time waiting is pretty good when you have an appointment, better then other places waiting hours on end. And maybe the only clinic that closes late then others. They also have an outside dog bath and heaps of pet food, toys & supplies inside. Thank you guys for doing everything you can to help, give advice & care for not only Leo but to every other animals that come through your clinic.
Good we can bring my mum and dad little jack Russel to get her nails trim and get her washed at the same time
Mixed feelings about this place. Firstly, the vet treating my kitten was amazing, she was highly professional and compassionate, given that euthanasia was a possible outcome. She had excellent communication skills and explained everything clearly without being condescending- 5 stars here. The older blond lady head vet, clinic owner? had a terrible bedside manner and lacked any compassion whatsoever, she barged into the consulting room multiple times and got angry at me for some reason. Basically snapped at me and told me to take my cat, you can't leave it here I never intended to leave her there..., come back later. I've never been treated so rudely at a vet clinic before. I couldn't ask any questions or get a word in because she was so snappy and dismissive. I was already upset about my pet's deteriorating condition and driving her through Auckland traffic had put more stress on her, then being asked to do this again on the same day made the whole situation worse. The second time I went back, she was barging into the consulting room again and said there's another kitten waiting who's worse than this one, pointing to my cat, right infront of me. How insensitive can you get!? The outcome was not good and I decided to carry out the euthaniasia at my usual vet. They were amazing as always and treated the whole situation with dignity and sensitivity. I would not recommend coming her if your animal is critical or requiring euthanasia. Kindness and compassion doesn't cost a thing.
