Mad Butcher

While cooking up dinner, I thought the mince quality is just so good that the mad butcher deserves some acknowledgement. I wasn't expecting much for just $10/kg but their mince has very low moisture content not dry but also just no liquid added for weight and it tastes supreme. We always come here anyway because their chicken is ALWAYS the best deal, no matter what day of the week.nPeople often think of the butcher as better quality for a higher price but we always buy our meat from Mad Butcher Nelson because they dont just sell higher quality meat than the supermarket but their prices are also significantly better. You can't beat their handmade sausages either!

They are alright but could be better. Not having marrowbone is surprisingly uncommon for a butcher. Unacceptable!!nDidn’t even have beef fat for cooking. Most of the time you can find cheaper deals in countdown.

My go to for my mothly meat shop better quality meat than the supermarket, always going above and beyond and even better delivery service to blenheim. Couldnt ask for a better place to get my meat.

I've thought hard about editing my review but thought I should let people know.nWent in today and had set a strict budget of $85, calculated on my phone as I was walking through, paid and left, got home to see my account was in overdraft due to being over charged on 1 pack of the Tegal take outs, both should have been 12.99 but one was charged at $20. Went back and I was told I couldn't have the refund put back on my card and he gave me cash, it is quite inconvenient that a mistake put me into overdraft and they couldn't reverse their mistake, I now have to make a trip to the bank during work hours to deposit the cash they gave me to try avoid the overdraft fees, will end up with teller fees due to the structure of my account. Really dissapointed, recommend keeping an eye on your spend as this may have happened to other people who arnt aware and their mistake will cost you more. Was my one stop meat shop but will possibly shop around now.
