Historic homestead located in Nayland Road, Stoke. Soourrounded by Samuel's Rose Garden that is well worth a visit especially in spring. Suitable place for family friendly picnics and you can smell the roses.nBroadsheet historic house is accessible during opening hours for a suggested gold coin donation.
A lovely historic property with a fantastic rose garden! Bring a picnic or just read a book in the shade. It’s a great spot to relax.
We had a great couple of hours at Broadgreen House today. The lady who welcomed and helped us was really kind and friendly, she made is feel really welcome. The kids 9 and 7 were given a little scavenger hunt to do in the house which kept them engaged, plus the artefacts in the house are really interesting to see, some of them the kids could interact with, including the rocking horse, and the dress ups in the Box Room! They had a lot of fun. The garden was superb too, really pretty rose garden to walk around. Couple of hours well spent here, with lots to learn.
Beautiful gardens, realistic depiction of how life used to be in those bygone days in the house
House wasn't open but the gardens are a lovely oasis in the city. Hundreds of named variety roses and huge heritage trees.
