Four of us in one room, nice and warm, clean, comfortable and tidy. The manager lady, who works and lives there is absolutely lovely. The people who live there are really helpful and polite also. I'll certainly stay here again, thank you so much Nelson The Bug Backpacker's.
Its a good hostel, pretty clean, nice beds, good insulation, clean and complete kitchen. Everyone was friendly with us. The staff was helpful and competent. 20 minutes walking from the city centre, not too bad. Definitely would stay again if we come back to Nelson. Only thing, people come and go all the time, not much control, never felt unsafe and they gave us a key to our room but, just saying if thats something you are wondering about.
Do not book this hostel!!nThere are a few people living there permanently and they do drugs. You can not only tell by the look in their faces but also the disgusting smell. It didn’t feel like a welcoming hostel but more like a shared flat owned by some addicted weirdos.. My friend and I felt unsafe during our stay.
Yelling at there GuestsnnNot recommending this place to anyone.nnbeen there this long weekend at it was thenWorse experience ever.nUnsafe and drugis people on lounge.nnwhen I was loading my car with my stuff to go out early in the morning around 6am,nThis guy leaving inside the lounge Lock me out, while my baby was still inside and I wanted to break the door to go back in.. been worried with themnAnd when they let me back in I was told off not to go in and out of the place..nWhen all I have done is to load up couple of stuffs to my Car, where parked infront of the lounge door.nI told them we are leaving the place around 6 30 because we got bookings to do catch up..nWe cannot wait for you guys to wake up, and they just Been Cursing and YellingnEarly in that Morning..nI felt unsafe for my baby and my Mrs that still on Our room..nThat big guy was ready to engage in a fight..nAnd when we call the emergency Number that they have provide no one answers.nAnd he Said that the owner won't wake up unless it's 8 am..nWhat a customer service nAnd I know we had booked a room with owned Toilet but we where told that the similar to that room occupied by her owner by their relatives
Awesome people and very friendly and helpful staff.nAlso the cheapest accommodation in Nelson
