The rooms are old, especially the bathroom and kitchen, water taps gonna fall off, old style bath tub, shower curtain, leaking bath tub water tap, loosen toilet board, not working heater, kitchen sink drainage with a bit blockage sound….. no air conditioning, it can be very hot on a sunny day. Many flies at night time if opening windows. The twin room is a crap, especially those next to the main road, super noisy, couldn’t fall asleep until midnight, then woken up at 4am. Lucky to have the room changed to chalet room which is very quiet. How come the difference is so huge, like heaven and hell. We had stayed in another hotel on the same street but no noise at all. I would recommend Heartland to install double layer windows, hope this would solve.nnNo guaranteed on-site parking, first-come-first-serve, so annoying especially after a whole day activity, so exhausted to find parking on street. Some of the parking slots are so tight.nnOverall comment is not worth, would rather stay in motel at similar price range or pay a bit more for a better hotel. The rooms need to be refurbished.
We were really pleased with how friendly and understanding the staff were. When we arrived at the hotel, we were quite upset and uncomfortable with our rooms as they were down a scary hallway and there were heaps of empty pill packets just sitting in the hallway, which was really unwelcoming. Anyways, we ended up talking to one of the managers and he was able to change our room for us to a much better room with an amazing view and he was so understanding about it! Rooms are a tad outdated but we only were in them for sleeping, so it didn’t really matter. Great walking distance to the town centre not coming back as it’s uphill . It’s also really nice to walk in as it’s always nice and warm. Overall, really pleased with how friendly the staff were. Definitely room for a few improvements, but that’s okay!
I have never, ever experienced such unhelpful staff. The receptionist was beyond rude. Gave me a map to my room and no key. No apologies. Hot tub was unable to be booked as was under maintenance - thank God! Based on the state of the hotel room I am pleased something is being maintained! Dark dingy room, half the lights do not work, the door to the balcony is wedged shut - defiantly sub-par
I had a short but sweet stay at the Heartland Hotel, all staff i interacted with were very accommodating and ensured i had a great stay. I was very pleased with the location, breakfast options, size and cleanliness of the room. I am looking forward to returning to the hotel in the future, thanks again!
Great spot for Queenstown only 2 minutes walk down to town. Very good last minute book.nStaff were very friendly.nWashing machine available but not accurate on time it said 30 minutes cycle whereas it took nearly an hour.nParking was a bit frustrating as it is first in first serve and a very tight squeeze.nBut overall we were there for the night and during the way we were out and bout.nI recommend the Heartland hotel if you like something easy.
