Great location within easy walking distance to CBD.nStunning view of the lake and snow-capped mountains from the room.nAwesome value for money with ample off-street parking, and breakfast was included for our stay.nWhile generally clean, the hotel room was old, so wear and tear was visually evident, esp in the bathroom and toilet areas.nHotel has hot tub and sauna which looks inviting but was informed that additional charges will apply to use.nThe gym is well equipped, accessible and free and free to use.nWould highly recommend checking this hotel out when visiting Queenstown.
We stayed at Heartland Hotel recently. The location was great – very central and convenient for everything we needed. However, the hotel facilities were generally quite outdated, and signs of wear and tear were visible throughout the building. The heating panel on the second floor stopped working in the middle of the night, so our kids woke up feeling cold in the morning, which wasn’t ideal. We also got woken up by staff service before 6 am, which we weren’t that pleased about. The noise isolation was poor – it was easy to hear people talking in the driveway and closing their car doors outside. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but the hotel would really benefit from upgrades, better maintenance, and improved soundproofing to make it more comfortable for guests.
I stayed here for six days about a month ago.nThe room facilities are a bit dated, but everything was clean and I had a very comfortable stay.nThe hotel staff were also kind and helpful.nAlthough the slope in front of the hotel is a little steep, the view of the lake from my room was absolutely beautiful and made it well worth it.nThank you for a wonderful stay!
A cool hotel with lots of potential. Lovely views. Amazing architecture. Super helpful and awesome staff. The downsides; it's age. The bathrooms, halls, and in room cabinets need a refresh. The ugly; we woke up with sore backs. Our bed was two smaller and sad mattresses pushed together. I get that getting larger mattresses into the rooms would be tricky, but foam mattresses have come a long way. Bathroom renovations and new mattresses would go a long way. The staff made the experience positive!
Loved our stay in Heartland: the rooms were quite cozy and tastefully decorated!nJust one little reminder: each room has an individual water tank, so be mindful with the hot water if you are sharing!nApart from that, service was wonderful, breakfast was delicious and proximity to the town center was very confortable.
