Ideal location, lakeside and a very short walk into the main centre. Nice to be next to the lovely gardens where it’s a little quieter at night, and a great morning walk.nBooked 1 bedroom Lakeview apartment, Bed was comfy, outdoor balcony would be nice to have a table and chair to enjoy the view with a hot cuppa. You do need to look through the trees but they’re still pleasant particularly in Autumn.nHeat pumps in both the living space and bedroom were good, however rattled in the room like a car engine running outside. so was turned off at night, forgot to tell the staff! Sorry, but overall didn’t affect the stay.nFacilities were good, housekeeping lovely and considerate, room made nicely each day.nAlways prefer an adjustable shower head, as like many others who don’t wet their hair in every shower.. it’s inconvenient but the shower was still decent.nWe ate at the restaurant and in the lobby bar which was all great food and service. Happy hour everyday brought in a small crowd which was enjoyable.nWould stay here again.
The location is one of the best in Queenstown, food at hotel is really good, probably the best butter chicken I have ever had and steaks are always cooked to perfection.nTristan ran front of house with impeccable service and detail, can’t rate him high enough.nNick at front desk operations is the man, so welcoming and all round brilliant guy. Nick is 100% over everything and remembers you. Something that does not happen too often these days.nMy only recommendation for the hotel, bring back the tea station. The tea through the day was a great touch, especially on cold days.
We booked this accommodation as a treat to end our trip, hoping for a bit of luxury after staying in backpackers throughout our travels. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The room was three times the price of what we had been paying, but the experience was underwhelming.nnShortly after arriving, we tried to order room service through the app, which wasn’t working. We called to place an order and also mentioned that our kettle wasn’t working. Despite following up, nothing arrived, and we waited for over an hour and a half. To add to the disappointment, trays of finished room service meals were left in the hallway from when we checked in around 3 p.m. and were still there the next morning when we went for breakfast.nnOn the positive side, the room was clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. However, it felt like the only standout feature of the accommodation was its location. Overall, it was a underwhelming end to our trip and had us wishing had used the extra money spent on this either on another activity or different hotel
We have stayed this autumn and have booked the hotel again in winter. That is how much i love the location of the hotel.nnIt’s perfect especially for the first timers in Queenstown. Everything is just walking distance, activities restaurants and amazing view of Lake Wakatipu.nnWe had the standard king room, spacious and has enough storage. Room was service daily and towels can be changed too if you chose that option.nnThey have provided a small pitcher that can be filled in the filtered water station by the bar. Kettle, cups, glasses and tea are provided in the room.nnWifi was fast and free. The TV has an option to cast netflix, youtube, disney or prime for your device.nnThe room also has a safe and mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and board. There’s also a heat pump in the room.nnHand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. You just need to bring toothpaste and toothbrush as it was not included in the amenities unlike other hotels. No slippers or robes but that’s completely fine. If you are in Queenstown, you will be out and about anyway.nnWe have included breakfast which is available from 6am-10:30am. Great selection of food too.nnThe only downside is parking which is limited spots. Throughout our 4D3N stay, we were not able to avail the valet parking for our rental car.nnOff street parking is available just outside the hotel though about$6/hr, max 2hrs during daytime and free from 6pm to 9am. There’s also Wilson parking on Church street, just 1 block away from the hotel $3/half hour. It’s a bit stressful to find a parking spot but so far it still worked out for us.nnI highly recommend this hotel for its perfect location, perfect especially for Queenstown first timers.
This is our pick for the most convenient location to stay in Queenstown. Right on the waterfront, walk to any restaurant, lake views from the rooms. It’s not the newest but it’s really reasonable for the price and the excellent convenience.nThe downstairs bar is a great spot to unwind. The buffet breakfast is one of the best in town and has so many options to suit any dietary needs and even the fussiest folks.nThe rooms are tidy and have little balcony is so you can enjoy the lake views.nThe staff have excellent recommendations for eating out and the Botswana butchery is a few steps away, probably our favourite restaurant in Queenstown. Great place to explore and relax from.
