Novotel Queenstown Lakeside

Good location.nNo free parking. $35 per daynThe biggest issue is the wash room door. It has no lock which is fine, but the door has huge gap and able to see through from outside of wash room. You can’t believe it? Check the photo attached. I took this photos from inside of wash room. I can watch the TV in the room using the right side of gap and I can check anyone in and out from room door using the left side of gap. This hotel should fix this fundamental issue first.

We were lucky enough to be allocated one of the rooms in the wing of the hotel undergoing renovation. The rooms are fabulous. We arrived early and were offered valet parking. When we came back just before 2 pm, our bags were in our room. What a lovely room. We even had an Alexa! Also air conditioning, which is unusual for New Zealand.nThe only improvement would be to offer guests a bathtub instead of a shower. Then it would be just perfect.

The team at Novotel were amazing, it was my birthday a big one They all wished me happy birthday on arrival as I checked in and they went above and beyond to make it so special for me, our room was amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I can't rate it high enough. The location is perfect to explore all around Queenstown. I can't wait to come back.

Excellent location with just a short walk to the lake and waterfront. Rooms nice and clean and serviced daily while we were there. So nice to have fresh towels! Breakfast was nice and staff friendly. Would definitely recommend due to it's location and will certainly stay again when we're back in town.

Reading the other reviews online makes me feel quite envious. We were given two very tired interconnecting roomd 415 and 417 paint was feeling off doors and the doors were brown with dirt. The shower drains were blocked so water over flowed. Also only one of our rooms was serviced the next day which was very strange .nBreakfast was also very poor, at $34 a head it's probably one of the worst hotel breakfasts we have experienced. There wasn't a lot of choice, eggs sloppy, not a lot of fresh fruit and not great servicenHowever the check in staff were delightful, gave our children soft toys and very friendly.nnWe have stayed at Novotel lakeside before many times, and we wonder if the management has changed in the last few years as the standard isn't how we remembered it.nnThe location is superb.
