Novotel Queenstown Lakeside

Good location, very Central and really close to the lake. A bit of a budget motel feel. The well worn and stained carpets in the dingy halls, always cluttered by laundry bags and housekeeping carts, don't set a great starting image. The rooms are quite nice, clean and fairly spacious. No chance of slightly early check ins, but they can store luggage for you. They don't have a pool, but theoretically have a spa you can book in advance. The spa was going to be fixed in two days the whole time we were there, they took bookings for it, but then sadly had to inform us it was going to take a few more days...

Great location and service. Room is a bit dated but suitable, beds are comfortable and cosy. Our room has a small balcony looking into a courtyard that opens up and a walking access towards the street and lake.nnIf you need to leave bags there to check in the next day we were day tripping they will make sure your bags are in your room when you check in.nnReasonably priced rooms and we stayed August which depending on some views the 'peak season'. The front foyer opens to the street and a small walk across the road puts you into the heart of both food and bar experiences. The spacious lounge area and small bar on ground level that looks through courtyard makes having a drink exceptionally relaxing! Thanks guys for a great few nights, we will book back again next year.

Novotel is ideally located at the end of the town within walking distances of plenty of eateries and amenities, and right next to the lake. The room was comfortable and warm, and everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and pleasant. We have experienced good hospitality worldwide, and we loved our stay here!

We had a great stay at Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. The staff were lovely and welcoming, the beds super comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was delicious with a great variety to choose from. The location couldn’t be better – right on the lakefront and within walking distance to everything, plus most tours and transfers leave from nearby or will happily pick you up.nThe gym is more of a cardio-only setup, so not really a full hotel gym, but that wasn’t a big issue. It would’ve been helpful to have more information about the pool/spa facilities, maybe a brochure in the room.nOverall, a really enjoyable stay in the perfect spot for exploring Queenstown.
