Elements Restaurant

So the images do not do it justice. It’s not the neon clad establishment you see if the first images. It’s a nice modern/industrial design restaurant. The food was brilliant and reasonably priced. I booked on the phone 45 mins before arriving and they put infant dishes and cutlery out so we could feed our baby, which is a nice touch. Our 4 year old had one of the best chicken burgers she’s had which was real chicken breast. My steak and my wife’s main chicken dish was also fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Overall the service was excellent, and the starters were on point! However I was very let down with the pasta dishes my partner and I had for mains. As an Italian restaurant you would expect a great flavour filled dish but to be honest it was bland as can be, even added salt, Pepper and cheese to try give it some life. Shame as my expectations were high after the starter.

Lovely vibe and atmosphere on the terrace overlooking the sea as the sun started to come down. Nice menu with a big variety - lovely to see that they had a few salads - I had the butternut squash which was lovely, my husband had the fish and chips which was a good portion with nice thin crispy batter, though the fish was apparently a bit tasteless maybe a cheaper/lesser known variety. The service was good, so you’d think I’d be leaving a better review. The reason I’ve only left an average review is that we arrived before food service and were given a menu. We ordered at 5pm, then we saw others with what was clearly a paper specials menu too - I was disappointed I wasn’t given the opportunity to order any of them. What really upset me though was that whilst I was eating my salad they started bringing out bowls of mussels - my favourite and my absolute ‘go to’ whenever they’re on the menu - my salad lost its appeal at that point. I’d go back but insist on seeing the specials menu.

Good atmosphere and friendly staff except the one waitress who didn’t really want to be there Good selection of drinks and we thought the wine was great value. Live music was good and the view was lovely as well Only negative thing was the huge amount of Oil on our carbonara photo doesn’t show much but there was a good 15 tablespoons left at the end We have feedback to the waitress but she didn’t seem to care.

Been to the original Elements and was not very impressed. Much different now. Went with family for lunch on our 47th wedding anniversary and had great food and excellent service. Best meal I have had in Bude.

The best meal I've had in a long time. The restaurant is lovely and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Will be going again on my next visit to Bude.

Great staff. Absolutely brilliant. They noticed that I wasn't enjoying my food, entirely my own fault I had ordered a spicy pizza that I struggled to eat. They insisted on cooking another without the spice. I was so impressed. Food good. Service amazing. Thank you
