Worst stay of our South Island New Zealand trip. We booked a one-bedroom cabin for four adults for two nights, but were only provided with two tiny shampoo and body wash packets about the size of ketchup packets, which was clearly insufficient for four people.nnWe only discovered there was no hair dryer after showering and had to go to the front desk to borrow one. On top of that, all four of us had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi. The only solution offered was to call for assistance, which wasn’t practical for international travellers without local phone service.nnThe room itself felt dated and could definitely use some refurbishment. The only real positive was the convenient location.nnOverall, it wasn’t good value for money. Considering the price, I expected a much better experience. If you’re driving, I’d recommend staying about 15 minutes outside of central Queenstown instead. We stayed at Driftaway Queenstown earlier in our trip and found it to be much better value with newer facilities and a more comfortable stay.
We stayed at this campervan site for two nights. The location was excellent…within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, and attractions, making it very convenient.nnUnfortunately, the facilities were quite disappointing. The showers were not clean, and although a hairdryer was provided, it wasn’t working. After showering and washing our hair in the cold weather, this was particularly frustrating. The dining and cooking area also appeared untidy, with dirty tea towels left around and very few clean ones available. The food preparation surfaces could have been cleaned more thoroughly as well.nnPerhaps my expectations were higher because we had previously stayed at the campsite in Arrowtown, which was fantastic and very well maintained. Given the great location of this site, it’s a pity that the facilities did not match the same standard.nnThis version sounds firm and constructive without coming across as overly harsh.
Family of 4 staying in a camper. Great, central location easy walk to town centre and ski buses. Average camper/caravan park facilities.nnDonga style amenities block great hot water though with heating, large shared communal kitchen but no utensils, pots or pans. Tight sites which were boggy due to rain. Very small/limited kids area in kitchen but no other activities/swings or jumping area. Very POOR WiFi at sites, kitchen a bit better but BYO if you need it! No dump point in Park, but there is a public one in the street behind Park.nnBetter suited to couples, groups staying in units or backpackers rather than families.
The staff were incredibly lovely, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. They kindly let us leave our luggage before check-in, and again after check-out, so we could enjoy exploring Queenstown without carrying our bags. We really appreciated their kindness and excellent hospitality.nnThe room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We especially loved the balcony with its beautiful mountain view—it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Queenstown.
Incredible accomodation in close proximity of everything. The accomodation provides a eye catching view of the mountains at an affordable price. The cabins with no ensuite are perfect for a few nights. It’s not an inconvenience that there is no bathroom inside the cabins as the communal bathrooms including showers are less than a minutes walk away. Opposite the communal bathrooms are a communal kitchen, dining room and I believe a laundromat. Everything you need is right in arms reach. Despite some of the other reviews, I found the cabins to be quite warm. We might have only used the heatpump once; the top sheet, duvet and blanket provided plenty of warmth through the night. The cabins are a 2 min walk down to reception if you need anything. It is a peaceful, quiet and safe place to stay. The staff were great, attentive and friendly, I was greeted by both male and female staff and the service was good. Really handy that they allow guests to store luggage prior to check in, that saved us from having to take the suitcase everywhere we went. Wifi was fast too and easy to connect to. The cabins are equipped with a TV, and has YouTube and Netflix available. There were no faults but if I had to critique one thing it would be that outside the cabins, it can get quite muddy and slippery wear appropriate shoes but that’s no fault of the holiday park. 100% recommend and would return in a flash. Thanks for having me, I seriously enjoyed it.
