We stayed in a tent pitch for four nights. Centrally located in Queenstown, we didn’t have a vehicle for our full stay and it was within walking distance of everything.nToilets and showers were clean. Kitchen was clean and we rented a kitchen box for $10. This is a good idea, it means everyone tidies up after themselves and you always have access to the cookware you want. It only included a small pan but we asked for a bigger pan at reception and they were happy to help.nStaff were very friendly, one person on check out wasn’t so friendly but most of the time the staff couldn’t have been more helpful.nThe toilet/shower block is a long walk from the tent pitch which did get a bit annoying. Also the lack of bins in the kitchen and having to go outside every time you need to put anything in the bin.nIt isn’t the cosiest of camp sites - everything is a bit clinical and the kitchen room has really high ceilings which makes everything echo including screaming children so not the most relaxing place.nHowever if you want somewhere central, reliable and cheap ish to tent your pitch in Queenstown, this is your place.
Amazing location, right in the middle of queenstown, you don't need to move your car, eventing is right there.nnThe grass camping plots are nice and leveled and easy to pitch your tent but they are VERY far from the amenities. So the self contained campers are closer but tents which needs the amenities for everything are far.nnThe showers and toilets were very clean with great water pressure and hot water.nThennThere laundry is great and you can pay with card,, everything was super clean.nnThe kitchen is the best thing other than the location. There are TWO kitchens, both are very spacious and clean with cabinets to place your things which was good because the tents are so far from the amenities. There was plenty of refrigerators but only one freezer which was full with the staff's things and the guests had to struggle to find spacenThere are a lot of tables to sit and eat and there are some coaches along the walls but no proper lounge. The lack of a proper lounge wad a problem because the kitchen and dining area was very loud and there is no other place to be when it's raining.nnThere is also no playground for the children, just a small play corner in the very loud kichen-dinning room.nnThe insight coffee cart was a great touch as well.
Excellent location only a few blocks back from the city centre. A few minutes walk from the Skyline Gondola.nnWe had the superior one bedroom mountain view unit. Very nicely styled and appointed. Extremely clean. Being constructed of precast concrete panels, the room was very quiet.nnPlease be mindful these room types do not have kitchen facilities. For a few, we purchased a kitchen pack which included a toaster, cutlery plates and bowls. The standard tea and coffee offerings were included.nnIf arriving late, check your email as they send instructions on how to access your key from a secure location to the right of reception.nnValue for money in a great location with views looking back towards the Remarkables.
Fantastic location short walk to the gondola and Kiwi Park and great facilities. However we felt fairly packed in like sardines in our motorhome with very little space or grass on either side, so glad we didn’t stay more than 2 nights.
The location is very good. You can walk in town to everything. The amenities are clean and good showers. Don’t arrive before noon because they will make you wait even if everything is empty. We were 20 cars waiting in the roundabout. Completely stupid. Overall for one night in Queenstown it’s good.
