I could not speak more highly of the wonderful team at Elstree Ave family doctors. They provide exceptional care, and always go above and beyond. Thank you!

I wouldn't recommend this place - the nurses are very nice but just the general overall experience is pretty unpleasant - I felt lectured from the doctor during my appointment and quite often do, receptionist didn't say goodbye or thanks and quite often its a struggle to get to speak to someone or get an appointment, generally always have to follow up with calls to chase up on repeat prescriptions etc. Its a shame as they used to be quite good but these days I just feel sad and awful after going there most visits.

I’ve had 2 appointments here. The first one I had to wait around 30-40 minutes after my booking time to receive a call. I booked another appointment for today approximately 2 weeks ago over the phone, and even today I had to wait 50 minutes to talk to a nurse when I’ve booked to speak with a doctor. The receptionist did not say a word of apology and just ignored what I was saying and passed me to another admin team. And the admin team told me that I’ll be passed straight to the nurse, however it didn’t happen and I had to phone the receptionist again where I’ve got completely ignored when I said my name and just passed me to the admin team and there I’ve been ignored as well when I was talking and tried to explain my situation. When I finally spoke with the nurse they’ve just realised then it was supposed to be a doctor’s appointment not the nurse’s I’ve made a booking to speak with a doctor. So here I am waiting again to speak with a doctor at 11.nnI do understand how consultations may be delayed for some time however 30-50minutes? Not getting a proper apology and just being passed onto someone hoping the next person will resolve the situation? Having to call back every time to check if my booking still exists? It sounded like none of them knew about mine Having to rebook even though I’ve made a booking 2 week prior? Also, why did I have to wait for this long to speak with a nurse if I was just going to be passed straight onto the nurse?? These issues need to be resolved.nnIf I received a proper apology with an explanation to why I had to wait this long for my appointment, I would not have been at this stage.nnOne star is for the service I received from the doctor last time, however it’s -4 stars due to the poor customer service I’ve received in the past two appointments.

Unfortunately waiting over 30 minutes past appointment times has become the norm here. Staff are good but time management is not their forte and they are not managing their pateint loads at all.
