Ellerslie Racecourse

We bought tickets for $195 per person on the 3rd floor of Barfoot §Thompson. We arrived at 4 o'clock. It turns out we were no longer entitled to any drinks or food . At the same time, none of the senior staff were there. After a long search, they found some elderly lady who answered us in a completely rude tone that we arrived too late. No apologies, no attempts to resolve the issue. And we just bought the ticket. If you sell tickets, then they should work. I wonder what we paid $400 for? To sit in this dirty room? We simply did not stay there. We went downstairs. The service is top notch.

Beautiful racetrack not far from the CBD.nGrounds & buildings are exceptionally maintained & the grandstand is huge.nOn a recent trip to NZ we were keen to visit the resting place of our old mate Sunline . A truly surreal experience.nAnd Hail the Legend Bonecrusher.nCompared to a few racetracks I’ve seen in NZ Ellerslie Racecourse is the best looking track apart from Riccarton .

Attended the Ellerslie Car Show. Great venue, easy to walk around. Lots of shade. Even with all the building works it was still easy to get in and out.

Beautiful posh place. My daughter attended Auckland Grammar Girls school prom 2023 at Ellerslie Racecourse.nThey had a stunning fun evening.
