This is the Avondale Jockey club such a cool place to go on a Sunday morning they have the usual Sunday morning market and honestly reminds me of something straight out of China there's lots of bargains to be had weather at small antiques or an array of Chinese vegetables and mushrooms what I really wanted was tofu na which is like a tofu porridge with salty or sweet syrup on top it's absolutely delicious usually you top it off with some ginger some pickle and some coriander and chilli chilli when I was in Beijing this is what most Chinese would have for breakfast and it would sell out

Sunday morning market. Excellent. I always enjoy the fresh vegetables and fruit. Great value, great range. The second hand vendor's are always worth checking. There is a whole section for 2nd hand tools. And then there is a section of cheap clothes, socks, undies, shoes , emphasis is on cheap, the value end of the range rather than quality. Yep, good prices, good value.nnYou can turn up at Crack of dawn, or midday.nThe ? tongan banana pancakes are family favorite and the raw fish from Toby's is the best

It’s a great place. Lynndale Athletics Club comes to run here every Monday, it’s fine most of the time, but when they have horse reaches, the holes in the ground nearly break my ankles. Very big and nice place with toilets nearby and a great sunset view if your there at night

Best to go around 0730 to avoid foot traffic.n- Fresh sea food sold in bulk and by the Kilo prices $-$$n- Food stalls around selling Island donuts, Asian food/ cakes coffee $ if no seats are available to sit and eat, walk around to the grand stand plenty of room theren- clothes and niknaks are also sold here. Fishing hooks, gardening tools, kitchen knives etc under grand stand.nWorth checking out if your up early on sunday.

The Jockey Club is kept alive by the market, but the market definitely needs better parking and a more formal layout to make it easier for customers to find what they are looking for. Good prices and variety but has potential to be so much more.
