Silks Room at Ellerslie Event Centre-- FAB foodnnWe went for Melb Cup 2025.nThe food was exceptional- including the coffee and dessert cakes.nnThe nicest buffet meal I have had in a long while- everything was fresh- lots of quality seafood. Lots of quantity.nThe little cakes were instagramable.nnGreat experience.

Great place to book for special events.nnThey have different rooms and sizes to choose from.nLots of parking space. Beautiful gardens outside.nnI attended yesterday a 21st birthday celebration.nThe room was beautifully decorated, perfect air-conditioning, yummy catering with numerous varieties of food for different palettes and very friendly staff and great service.nnI will definitely recommend it for others.

I have done a lot of weddings and events here. I own hdev.co.nz and we provided video, photo, DJ, sound system, lighting, staging, LED Screens and other technical services for private events. Staff are awesome and I will recommend this venue to anyone.

I normally avoid going to special events beccause I feel like mosto f the time I am going to have to follow a dress code or go with whatever theme they have but this year I made my magnificent grand debut at the IHC ball this year in my Ozzy cosplay and wooing people over and I was surprised to see just how nice it was actually was.nnBeing selved dinner and dessert there was a highlight and all eyes were on me, I wish I could go on and on up until the point that everyone could see just how many characters I could add up to but I had the very best time.

Overall a good venue, decent location for a show or expo with lots of room for exhibitors. The upstairs was extremely hot when we went, not sure if the air conditioning was broken or if it’s like that all the time it was May so not the middle of summer!. Parts of it are looking a little aged and maybe in need of Reno’s, but still a nice place to come every now and then.
