ASB Tennis Arena

Had a very enjoyable day out at the tennis however, the venue could have benefited from far more shade, it was an incredibly hot day and although it was great that there was lots of areas to get free and cold water, there wasn’t much shade. I suffered from some sun stroke after a few hours, which made for a slow rest of the day and we didn’t make it back to court side to enjoy more tennis due to the heat.

Went for the ASB classic womens final. The set up is really great outside the court area. Great selection of drinks and food was very good! However, we were disappointed that there isn't a better system for drying the courts. They had these push things and volunteers drying the courts with towels, seems a bit old fashioned and it took about 30min. A court cover would've made a huge difference! Otherwise the facilities are great. Loads of toilet cubicals for the ladies, clearly marked stands and seats, lighting is good. On the online booking system, please indicate which stands are undercover. We had to guess.

Great atmosphere and ease of entry. Had good tickets in redwood stand at level C.nFood was expensive- $20 for chips and small beef burger

Well managed entry for such a busy time. Good facilities to cope with the volume of people.

FabulousASB Classic tennis tournament. Excellent array of food and drinks. Seating gives a clear view of the action no matter where you sit although not all of it is under cover. Plenty of toilets. Sunscreen stations and water stations throughout the arena.
