Came middle of February. Many roses were still in beautiful bloom. Well maintained. Closer to 4 stars, quite a few had no tags or hard to find tags, which is for a rose lover hard I mean.. How can we buy a shrub if we don't know it

Fantastic garden and picnic area but with limited parking. Check ahead for events and enjoy on sunny days. Walking distance from several bus stops. Overlooking Judges Bay. The Dove Myer Robinson Rose Garden is a true hidden gem in the heart of Auckland. It’s peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of vibrant roses that bloom almost year-round. The scent in spring and summer is incredible — perfect for a quiet stroll, photography, or just sitting under the trees to relax.nnThe view over Judges Bay and the harbour adds a special touch, especially at sunset. There’s plenty of open space for picnics, and it’s only a short walk from Parnell Village and the Parnell Baths.nnA great spot for nature lovers, couples, and anyone looking for a little calm in the city.

Walking around here felt really good.nWater on one side, open space everywhere, and the city sitting quietly in the background. The port cranes in the distance actually add something instead of ruining the view, very Auckland in a weird way.nIt’s calm without feeling empty.nYou can just walk, stop for a bit, sit down and stare at the water, then keep moving. The light on the water looks nice when the weather decides to cooperate.nDidn’t feel like one of those destination parks, more like a place you end up enjoying without trying.nEasy to imagine coming back here again, just to walk around and clear your head.

Nice place to visit! Most varieties of roses can be seen here. On November 9th, they celebrate the Parnell Rose Festival in this park. Various kinds of roses are in full bloom, and the place becomes very crowded and full of joyful activities that day.
