Parnell Rose Gardens

Story

Dove-Myer Robinson Park, more commonly known as the Parnell Rose Garden, is a park containing a rose garden in Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand. Some of the plants in the garden have been bred by internationally celebrated rose breeders and each year in November, the park is host to the Parnell Festival of Roses, which showcases New Zealand craft stalls, art exhibitions, music, strolling performers and thousands of roses. The park is named after Dove-Myer Robinson, the longest serving mayor of Auckland, who served for 18 years. The 'white garden' is a popular venue for weddings. As of 2010, the park was home to the oldest manuka and the largest pohutukawa tree in Auckland.

Life is about taking time to smell the roses. Didn't quite get a chance to smell them all but managed most. A beautiful visual display of color combined with the added joy of the divine fragrances of many different roses. A lovely place to walk, relax, unwind and reflect on your day.
Best french toast I've ever had. Fabulous staff. Coffee tasted burnt. Loverly gardens. Steep path down to the bay.
Auckland’s hidden gem right in the city centre, known as the Parnell Rose Garden. We visited it on 2020 Parnell Roses Festival. Amazing beautiful display of great variety of roses in different colours and sizes, with great fragrance.
Spent a lovely time smelling roses, ambling the different paths and resting in the various little rest areas and on the grass under the lovely shade of the trees, whilst looking at the scenic view of the sea.
Awesome gardens. Sometimes has some leaf disease on the rose but we'll maintained. Judges bay is a nice beach just down the road and there is the Parnell baths around the corner.
Nice place to enjoy with kids. Good parking space and nice place to go with family.
Surprised to see 6 small tents at Harbour end of Park this afternoon Sunday. Did Council give permission? I thought if most odd as noone was around.
