Domain Wintergardens

A lovely treasure in the heart of Auckland! I could not believe my luck, to happen upon this gorgeous sanctuary as I walked from the War Museum across Auckland Domain toward Lovers Walk. The gardeners should be very proud of their work. It is a stunning botanical collection and beautifully arranged! It was free to visit on the day I went 28 Dec 2024. Thank you for a memorable visit to Auckland - I simply adore gardens!

A good balance of benches under shelter or in direct sunlight, depending on what you prefer.nnNice flower arrangements and a neat open center for good aesthetical photographs.nnA café also available just across the road within walking distance.

The Wintergardens are lovely and have a heavenly fragrance and the most spectacular array of lovely plants and flowers. The stunning displays add the flavour of peace and harmony to a relaxing day. Thanks to the guys who put in all the hard work to create this mini-tropical paradise in the centre of the city.

The garden is STUNNING !! We visited in August…orchids, tulips, pansies were so cute. It was colorful, lots of different plants and flowers. There is also a green house that housed exotic plants hibiscus, crowns of thorns. Next to walk, Auckland Museum, you can visit and walk around the domain it’s great. I recommend + it is FREE
