Stunning place to see the whole of Auckland in a single panoramic view. Free to enter.nnThe road up isn't that steep and there's an iron boardwalk around a very large pit/crater.nnThe views are extraordinary.nnThere's a small car park, a cafe, and a row of clean and accessible toilets.nnWell worth going.
Beautiful place to take in a view of Auckland! A 15 min hike to the top was partly paved with sections of stairs with handrails. The view was spectacular, with several viewpoints around the hill. There were also several information signs to highlight the cultural significances. The cafe has ice cream, confectioneries, and sandwiches to fuel you, with an interactive cultural display and presentation. Parking was a little tight at the top, but if you're feeling energetic there are more places lower down. Great experience!!
Embarking on an unforgettable journey to the summit of Mount Eden, where each step brings us closer to panoramic views and a sense of accomplishment. The winding path through lush greenery and the anticipation of the summit made every moment along the way worth it.
Mount Eden's viewpoint offers breathtaking 360-degree views of Auckland, New Zealand, showcasing the city skyline, Waitemata Harbour, Rangitoto Island, and the Hauraki Gulf. This 196-meter volcanic cone features walking tracks, picnic areas, and public art installations, making it a popular spot for photography, romance, and relaxation. Accessible by car, bus, or foot, the viewpoint is open 24/7 with free admission. Visit at sunrise or sunset for optimal views, and explore nearby attractions like Mount Eden Village, Auckland Museum, and Albert Park. As Auckland's highest volcanic cone and a sacred Māori site, Mount Eden's viewpoint is a must-visit destination for its natural beauty, cultural significance, and unforgettable vistas.
Parking was short on availability, The bridges move slightly, its also extra cold and windy at the top. Its a Beautiful and clean place. Has the most beautiful view of Auckland. Highly recommended. Probably not suitable for prams or very young kids.
