Our chef was great. Friendly and the theatrics were top notch. The food were all nicely cooked. Price wasn't cheap but to be expected for a teppanyaki.
We came here for our friend's birthday party. And it was amazing!!! Very fun for special party day and love our guy's performance. Definitely will come back for our another special day
Ching ching bling the best entertainer over all the daikokus! Best night ever even better food, so many laughs and so many fun experiences tonight. He truly left me leaving with a great core memory!

Experience Japan in central Auckland. The food was filling and the experience was amazing. Recommended especially for special occasions. The sauces were delicious. Moreover, seeing the chef cook right before your eyes makes it more enjoyable, and interesting. The catching the egg with your mouth is a fun activity they do. Pricey but worth trying even once. They mix the tables if you are just one or a couple. Better to go out with friends with a group of 7 or 8. Vegetarian options: They have vegetables and tofu set. Kid-friendliness: They provide high chair for kids.
The service was amazing, the chef is friendly and is very talented in what he does. The show they put on is a must experience and will definitely come again. Do recommend for special occasions or if just want to experience what you see on movies.
Always a pleasure to eat tepanyaki style at Daikoku. The show that the chef puts on has become less than a work of art or skill over the years and feels like they just learn the bare minimum to entertain the patrons. It is as much about the entertainment as it is about the food :Food: 5/5
First Teppan-yaki experience ever! Entertaining and it doesn't look like a lot of food but we were stuffed. If you haven't tried Teppan-yaki yet I'd recommend giving it a whirl. I'd recommend this experience with a large group - much more fun particularly when you have to try to catch the fried egg with your mouth. I suck at it and it's possible for the chef to skip you if you want! Went here recently again for a birthday dinner and lunch the week after with a colleague. The lunch menu is reasonable but not really something you could have on a daily basis. Dessert is also included by the way so not a bad deal. It gets quite hot however because of the grill plates but it's all part of the experience!
Was such a great time! Our chef was Alex the food was great and he is so charismatic and entertaining! Highly recommend
