Without a doubt one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Everything was amazing with such attention to detail. The restaurant has lovely decor and a great welcoming atmosphere. The customer service was above and beyond. The staff were warm, friendly and very attentive. The food was sensational. Every dish was plated so beautifully and tasted just as delicious as it looked. It was definitely some of the best and most authentic Japanese food I've ever had. I will remember this dinner for a very long time!

Our family visited this restaurant on the recommendation from a work colleague. We were truly amazed with the food and the service at this restaurant. The two wait staff were very friendly, professional and attentive. The Chicken Katsu was cooked perfectly, the Salmon Sashmi was fresh and delicious and the Sushi platter was beautifully presented and very fresh and tasty. Apart from the food and service, the ambience was good but could have had music playing in the background.

The best dining experiences we have in New Zealand; even better than some of the fine dining in Melbourne. Everything was amazing with attention to details. The customer service was above and beyond. Especially the sashimi and Aburi nigiri, great value for its high quality.

A beautiful Japanese restaurant in CBD that definitely worth a try. I enjoyed their special lunch set at a really affordable price, nice presentation and yummy. Will come back to experience their dinner.

Had our dinner to celebrate my hubby’s birthday at 6pm tonight. Everything we ordered were super yummy that I forgot about my request to them to prepare a piece of cake to surprise the birthday celebrant. Haha! And the brownies/ice cream were also excellent! This resto is now my favorite japanese resto. Thank you Japanese Bistro Zen for making my hubby’s bday extra special.

Beautiful plates, bowls and platters your food gets serve on. Fresh seafood and steak from Japan, and really lovely service.
