Great steakhouse with lovely and friendly staff. We had the calamari as a starter and that was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My steak was cooked well and seasoned nicely too. Overall, a great experience if you're looking to enjoy a good chunk of meat :

I've been to this establishment many times over the years and my father attended it's original opening in Albert St. It's always served top notch food albeit at a top notch price. That said, I've never yet had a disappointing visit. This particular instance I had a Sirloin cooked in Garlic whilst my partner had an Eye Fillet plus we shared some grilled onions & some grilled mushrooms. As always excellent. No hesitation whatsoever recommending the place.

If you are looking for a big steak, this is the place to go. Our experience was ok but it wasn't memorable. The steak was well cooked and the servers did as good as they could. I recommend you not to be seated by the rear window where drunk people wait for their burgers from The White Lady, it may be entertaining, but not ideal for a romantic dinner out.

Our first steak house restaurant was delicious to the core. Myself and my sons had Scotch fillet steak medium BBQd to perfection with egg and added sides of creamy mushrooms, fried onions and fries. Desert was nice. Service was top notch.Food: 5/5

Got there without a booking and we underestimated how busy it would be but we were so hyped up, we were happy to wait 20 minutes. The cooking itself is a show, so fascinating to see how the chef cooks everything and he can remember which is rare, which is medium etc. The portions are big! No miserable little piece of steak at all. At least 500gm guaranteed. The sides are just as delicious. Husband swears by the jacket potato, I am in love with the Café de Paris Butter! Kids can go there, but it's only worth it if they have a big appetite. You don't want to pay $26 for them to take one bite and shrug the old _"I'm full"_ #murder This is a place to save. Our regret is to not have visited this place before. It's lively, full of people, good music and the chef is a side show all along. Absolutely fantastic!

Delicious! Was referred to this restaurant by my Airbnb host and I’m so grateful! Steaks are DELICIOUS but hands down, their Beef Dip aka French Dip sandwich is the BEST! Staff is friendly & kind - highly recommend if you are in Auckland!

We had the most amazing experience from the moment we set foot in the door, we were greeted by the Chef/ lovely owner at the grill in our own language and then the wider staff team. We felt like we were being welcomed into their home, the food was devine, we had the sirloin and t-bone, the steaks cooked to perfection. The experience of picking out our own steak in the kitchen was a experience in itself. Our sides were just as good especially the salad. The 800gm t-bone steak cook to perfection with salad and creamed mushrooms. I didn't booked only waited a short time but understaffed and that reflected in the service. I won't expand because once they seemed to get into a flow I was looked after and accepted the service flaw apology. Would I go back, yes, go if you are a true carnivore.

To be honest, customer service was what really brought the review rating down. I felt extremely unwelcome as well as my other family members and the service was absolutely disappointing. I saw one of the waitress’ simply chuck the salad on another persons table. You would expect people serving you to at least be kind or smile and feel welcomed but I felt the exact opposite. It felt uncomfortable and as if I was being ignored and looked down on from their words and attitude. The beef was alright, not the best. We asked for medium well but got medium rare with blood oozing out which wasn’t very pleasant. Will probably not come back here again.

Great steakhouse, can watch the chefs in action cutting the meat and serving it up. Amazingly flavoured. Helpful staff even when peak hour
