Awesome food. Friendly staff. We had the vegetarian tasting menu. I was a bit concerned it wouldn't be very filling but I was pretty full by time we left. Lots of small dishes over the course of an hour. Not rushed but we weren't sitting around waiting. The tempura was probably the best I've ever had. Light and crispy!
My partner and I went to here for our anniversary dinner, the staff were very welcoming from the get go. We got the set menu, it didn’t take long until the dishes started coming out. We were honestly blown away by the quality of the food and how creative the plates looked. The tuna sashimi was the best I’ve ever had and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the duck. The staff were so friendly throughout the whole dining experience, and the ambience of the restaurant made the night perfect. Definitely recommend this for everyone!
Quite the delicious set menus, from start to finish; surpassed expectations from when we first sat down I've got to be honest. The decor is kind of basic, but it grows on you and I suspect as night falls, it gets even more beautiful than the daylight - even the bathrooms are fancy. You don't have to get the set menus with sake pairings like our table of four did for a birthday especially if you're not looking to spend half a grand together over dinner, but it was a meal to remember.
Awesome experience. Raw foods were fresh, could taste the natural sweetness ; individual dishes were well presented and flavoured just right, could be eaten without rice. Friendly staffs. Went for mother's day celebration, highly satisfied. Many thanks!
This may be the best restaurant I've ever been to. Only booking available was 8:30 so took it and when we arrived the music was pumping almost like a night club, place was packed, fantastic vibes. We had the soft shell crab, vegetable tempura, duck, and teriyaki chicken and I got everything I could have possibly asked for from each dish. The service was minimal but it worked perfectly and everything came out in a reasonable time for how busy it was. 10/10 would return.
Amazing food and very well presented. Soft shell crab was the favourite! And dessert was really decandent and not overly sweet. Cocktails we made well - even the gin special took us by surprise, was really nice. Staff was friendly and very patient with us. Thanks for the excellent dining experience!
Came here for NYE and got the set menu. Believe it was $120 w/ a glass of champagne. Great value for money! Seven courses total and I got to try a bit of everything. The sushi, sashimi, dumplings and the mains particularly the lamb were all great. In general one of the best set menus I’ve had as I truly felt I got to taste most of what the restaurant had to offer - signature dishes, splashes of individuality and of course some Japanese staples. Will come back again on another special occasion, maybe next NYE - it worked out well being on the Britomart doorstep last time!
Sleek and classy space, great service and delicious food. A great dining experience : Sushi rolls and Nigiri were very good, as expected. Roasted eggplant was stunning: 10/10 will blow your mind
Amazing food and great service. We ordered Sake n apple cocktails, sashimi platter, beef tataki, soft shell crab and seared duck. Every dish was delicious with fantastic presentation and mouth watering sauces/condiments. The service was very friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend.
Maybe i expected too much of name value. We had 90$ set menu as recommended by FOH. Sashimi and beef steak was good. Portion was good. After all the courses, we were full and satisfied. BUT dont try teriyaki chicken and salmon. Very dry chicken thigh with weird corn and salmon wjth yuzu mayo and fresh carrot/daicon was weited combination. FOH was very kind and well explained. With 90$, i think we can find better one.
