Columbus Middlemore

Have had to come through here a number of times over the past few months by default as a relative is here in critical care. The food is hit and miss but generally ok. Slightly overpriced, but when you have minimal options, you pay. The major issue with this place is the Asian staff member wears glasses , she literally has the worst customer service. Serving myself and many others as if they are a nuisance and we have inconvenienced her. The rest of the team here are great but she is outwardly rude and makes for a poor experience. She may be very efficient in her role but I myself have decided not to get anything from here simply because I see she is serving and would rather go without. Hopefully management can address this as it appears there’s a few reviews with the exact same feedback. You are the face of their business after all!

Amazing amazing place it’s incredible the people there are amazing 1000% you should go there I recommended going there to my family that’s how much I trust this place doesn’t disappoint the coffees and food are amazing great portion size. Thankyou so much BEST PLACE EVER

Just for next time im gonna watch what pie they heat up, theres only 2 but server still got it wrong. Mince and cheese please, not steak and cheese gross and i aint walking all the way back to complain and swap just so they can throw it in bin. Waste of food.

Was just checking the other reviews before I post this. 4months ago customer named ‘Sarona’ wrote same thing. Seems the asian lady with glasses is not happy to work here. The only answer she’s got is ’NO’. Asked her do u have chicken sandwich, ‘we only have what u can see’ can u toast it please, said ‘can only put in oven’. It just made me think am I at the right place. Seems this place is taking ADVANTAGE of people’s situation/ needs. I asked her to cud the sandwich in half ; she says - NO I’LL GIVE YOU A KNIFE. We are already at a hospital to visit our sick family members and on top of it you get to meet these Kind of RUDE people. THE BUSINESS OWNERS NEEDS TO THINK WHY THEIR RATING IS GOING DOWN AND THEIR STAFF AT THE HOSPITAL NEED TO BE COURTEOUS AND HUMBLE.

The wrap looked amazing in the cabinet, however … The lamb which should be the highlight of the dish was terrible, I’m sure chewing a leather shoe would’ve been easier. Asked for it to be heated up, took around 10 mins and was given to me still cold, lol… Cmon guys, treat food as if you’re going to be eating it, oven and then toaster machine maybe? Fix that lamb tho

Food court in the hospital has this as one of the available options for purchasing food and beverages. Reasonable prices on most things, a few slightly higher priced. Fresh food with a variety of flavours and choices such as sandwiches, quiche, pies and hot plate serves. Delicious hot chocolate!!

There are better places in Middlemore hospital if you want to enjoy coffee. Elixir expresso next door is much better. I ordered Raspberry muffin and Flat white. Muffin was very avg. And flat white was good. Customer service could have been better but I understand they are busy specially in the morning.

My coffee was great BUT the customer service average… People are at hospital because they are unwell etc. Their days don’t need to be made worse with your staff who have no manners.

This place is excellent. Lovely owners who really care about their customers. Couldn't recommend enough
