Authentic Malaysian cuisine. Best taste ever and will be back if I visit Auckland. Variety of the menu that you can choose, all is the best depends what's your preference meals. Good price and excellent service.
We visited Lima Bintang for the first time this evening…nWe wanted Malaysian and we looked to Google to find us a place more local than our usual fav.nWe were not disappointed - the food was delicious and we walked away with full bellies and plans to return.nI had the Seafood Laksa - tasty, smooth no grainy like they can be and jam packed with seafood and crispy bean curd.nMy hubby had the Singapore Noodles - it was insanely full assorted meat and seafood and thin rice noodles.nOur son had his go to Mee Goreng and it is his fav and while the portion is huge and he couldn’t finish it, he can enjoy it tomorrow for lunch.nWe also had the fried dumplings. They were prawn, so took me by surprise, but they were delicious and so flavourful.nA little gem in the heart of Ōtāhuhu - run don’t walk
Excellent authentic Malaysian food. Friendly service and good portions. We ordered char kway teow, sambal squid main, and Wat tan hor with mixed crispy and rice noodles and we cleared them all!
Before we went in this restaurant, we googled a few spots nearby and didn't really have much choices of our cravings. So.. we just decided to try this restaurant 'Lima Bintang' in Otahuhu, yesterday to have a just normal casual dinner.nThen we're seated and menus were given. There weren't any pictures to show what the food might be like?!? So just used google review photos for references.nnThen we ordered Mixed pork Tofu and Char Kuey Teow stir fried noodlennOMG.. that was the end of this dinner story! They were sooooooo good And their homemade Sambah sauce and Bellachan sauce were just another levelnnThese photos I took won't do the justice. But, just... if you're near, please please try this restaurant!! I am definitely going back to this spot.nnI am super glad to find this spot!!
Char kuey teow slightly underseasoned but there is enough wok hei. The Singapore hokkien prawn noodle can't match what you can get in south east Asia but I think it is nice enough. I especially appreciate the generous big prawns they put in and the generous amount of pork lard.
