This was my 2nd trip, char kuey teow, & hokkien mee with huge pork lard on top, definitely worth the trip. Wat tan hor is not on the menu, but u can ask. At the moment, this is my fav Malaysian restaurant in NZ!
Wow this place was simply exquisite. So much so that the moment I returned home after dinner there, the first thing I did was to rate the place so more connusieurs could visit. Food was very tasty. Authentic malaysian. Combination of flavors were perfect and staff were hospitable. A warm welcoming ambience adorned the entire restaurant. Will revisit and have more people indulge In this foody temptation
The restaurant is located in Otahuhu. We did book beforehand which was a good idea since they were quite full. I was only eating vegetarian food so they were able to make the sizzling tofu vegetarian. The egg tofu coted with the tasty sauce with egg at the bottom was amaing. Would definitely want to come back to try everything. I was told most of the items were nice but the char kwei tiew had a burnt taste.nnEdit: You have to pre-order the yung tofu and that was decently sized and quite nice. The tofu one had an interesting texture.
This was a very satisfying lunch. Laksa, Thai Tofu and KL Hokkien Mee. Everything was pretty good.nnJust one critic, the Hokkien Mee was a little too salty but it had all the bells and whistles. Especially the fried pork lard. That was the icing on the cake.nnThe meal was definitely worth the travel.
A newish Malaysian Restaurant occupying a familiar spot. The food here is authentic Malaysian cuisine and we really enjoyed all the dishes we had.nnThe Char Kway Teow and Wat Tan Ho are very nice with good wok hei.nnButter style chicken and Nestum prawns were delicious and well presented.nnIt can get very busy so make sure you book during busy times.nnThe boss and waitresses were very nice and friendly
