KFC Otahuhu

I visited the KFC Otahuhu store today at 10:37am and ordered a Mega Classic Bucket $55 at the drive thru.nUnfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The staff member who served us name on the receipt was Preeti did not greet or acknowledge us, which made the service feel unwelcoming.nThe main issue, however, was the food. The chips were very poor quality, they tasted old and not freshly cooked, even though the store had just opened. Because of this, we had to throw the fries away and ended up only eating the chicken with the potatoe gravy and coleslaw.nOverall, it felt like a waste of money, and the quality did not match what we expected. We won’t be returning based on this experience.

Went tonight and ordered 2 large chips with my Bucket of wicked wings. Got home and saw the large chips ain't full. Am I being scammed? Seems like large chips is the same as a regular chips. $8.59 for the large chips and it wasn't full at all.

KFC Otahuhu has massively improved. However, can never be more than a 4 star because 80% of the time food taste really good. 20% of the time it can be underwhelming or made poorly. Also, staff have been much nicer in recent years. So for me their rating is much better than 5 years ago. 5 years ago or pre-covid, KFC Otahuhu would have got like a 2 or 2.5 star atmost.

Tonight I drove out to Otahuhu KFC because for the third time I’ve checked in the past two weeks Panmure has run out of the mozzarella patty to go in the Zinger Mozzarella burger that they are advertising everywhere. That was already frustrating why can’t Panmure keep stock of their prized menu item?!. I ordered the large sized Zinger Mozzarella Ultimate Burger Meal which should include burger, large chips, drumstick, regular potato gravy and large drink. My Ultimate Burger Meal was an ultimate disappointment, I got home to find in the little box there were no chips. What is the point in potato gravy if one has no chips to dip in it. With gas prices like they are there is no way I’m driving all the way back.nnThey get two stars for friendly, polite service and the burger had nice amount of lettuce. Maybe the soon to be KFC in Mt Wellington will do better. Won’t get my hopes up

Had a great time at KFC! The food came out fresh and delicious, and the crispy chicken was spot on. Parisa, one of the team members, was really welcoming and made the service smooth and enjoyable. The place was tidy and well maintained, which I appreciated. A solid choice for a quick and satisfying meal — would happily visit again!
