We stayed here at the beginning and end of our North Island holiday. Was a very nice and neat hotel. The rooms were just right, and all the amenities were there including washing machine and dryer. It's also nicely placed in the centre of town, so was easy to get around. Parking is an issue, so take that into consideration.Rooms: 5/5
Excellent value for money! Fantastic location, central Auckland is so accessible by foot. Friendly service. The rooms are amazing - clean, spacious and comfortable. Not too noisy either. Would definitely stay again!Rooms: 5/5
We booked in for a night this weekend as we were going to a concert. The valet parking made parking in the city, for someone who is not very confident driving/parking in Auckland very easy. The foyer was well presented. Staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. We were on the 16th floor and where we were, we could just see the marina. The room was a little cold, but we turned the air con off and that sorted it. The curtains in the lounge didn’t quite close which meant my youngest got the morning light a bit earlier than I hoped, as she slept on the couch. Was only an issue as she wasn’t in the bedroom. The kids were excited that there was milk and hot chocolate sachets and they were welcome in the evening after our outing. The room was relatively quiet. The shower was good pressure-wise. Everything was clean when we arrived.
Awesome executive one bedroom. We were on floor 23, and had great city views from a clean, fresh apartment. Very nice spot to unwind after busy days exploring the city.
Generally disappointing and not recommended. Due to a lack of staff the hotel is currently unable to service/ clean your room daily... However it is able to still charge you full price for a substandard service! The hotel cafe is also closed "until further notice" meaning the only room service available is from a local takeaway with hiked up prices compared with ordering directly from the restaurant along with an additional $5 added to each order. Definitely not a 4 star hotel at present. Pretty embarrassing actually. If I had been aware of the lack of room cleaning and room service options I would have spent my $300/night elsewhere. The room was adequate and the bathroom actually very modern. Gym and pool again were adequate.
Exceptional stay! I'd like to commend the handsome Indian gentleman at the front desk for making our trip such a good one. Extra key cards without asking which is awesome when you're in a group! He switched out our room when we booked the wrong one, and the room we got was fantastic. Really good to have something like that happen on your first stay. Will definitely be back! Would have absolutely given him a tip but I lost my wallet lol!
Rooms have been updated but appliances not. Fridge light wasn’t working so it was a black hole in the wall, microwave didn’t work and that really threw the front desk staff to resolve it. Dishwasher kept constantly beeping and so had to switch it off every time I used it. Minimal room servicing due to covid so having to call for toilet paper and body wash. Meh.
We were fortunate enough to be staying in one of the newly refurbished rooms in the hotel. The room felt spacious and from the 20th floor we had great city views.Rooms: 4/5
We were a bit disappointed to be honest. It is a four star hotel that doesn’t have a bar or restaurant and the only roo. Service is a local Chinese restaurant from 5 til around 9 pm. When we checked in the reception staff apologised that our room would not be serviced and we were staying for too nights. But if we wanted anything to call and they would bring fresh linen etc. very poor when they still charged us the full rate. The staff were lovely and we couldn’t fault them but the owners need to sort out the restaurant etc as you cannot claim a 4 star hotel that provides 2 star service. A very big let down to be honest.
Before staying we booked an extra bed and it never showed up and when we called about it they said they were unable to bring one up because of staff not being there. One of us ended up sleeping on the couch. The pool is not the one in the photos, everything was rusty and outdated with doors and other parts of the area being broken. We payed $400 for one night and it was not up to standard.
