OMG i'am in awe of how cheap the clothes are in this warehouse. I mean, they are not old, you ACTUALLY find some really good second hand clothing, even some still BRAND NEW! From tshirts, vest, skirts, shorts, long pants, winter clothes such as jackets, pullovers, shoes, slippers, runners, gym clothes and the list goes on.nnThere is a section for clothes, shoes, kitchen stuff, kids stuff, toys, beddings, laundry and chocolates etc..like seriously and all AFFORDABLE, within ones budget. I mean if i can find a vest still new for a $1.74 and chocolates from $2..all within the expiry date foods, snacks, a good bargain dont you all think. My 2c take on itnnWell this is just my observation at the end of the day. Not everyone will see it that way or is their cup of tea, dont worry they are other places in hensderson you can visit to suit one's preference of shopping BUT if you're on a budget, this is the place to check out apart from Kmart - You wont be disappointed!!!nnSo if you ever in henderson, auckland. Do check them out for yourselves. Oh and before i forget, they accept cash and card for payment options and they have spacious and sufficient car parks. I went on a sunday so it was very much empty..just could'nt find the pics of the clothes i brought but below are afew pics of what i was talking abt...nnOk than thats it from me. Y'all stay safe and Happy Easter
On 14 December, my husband, our twins, and I visited the Chemist Warehouse Henderson store. We usually shop at the New Lynn branch, but while visiting Kmart we stopped at this store to purchase chest relief medicine and zinc tablets, as our twins were unwell.nnUnfortunately, we experienced a humiliating situation While I was looking for zinc tablets, I asked a staff member about their availability. She showed me three options and stated that those were the only ones available in that aisle. When I asked where other medicine aisles were located, she responded dismissively and did not assist in directing me to other brands, which felt rude and unhelpful.nnAt the same time, my husband noticed that a chest relief bottle he had picked up from the baby section was leaking. He immediately informed the same staff member, placed the bottle on the floor to avoid further spillage, and told her that he went to collect another one. The staff member left briefly and returned with tissues. When my husband returned and politely asked her for a tissue to clean his hands, she responded with an unfriendly look and handed it to him in a manner that made us feel uncomfortable, as though we had done something wrong.nnAfter finding another brand of zinc tablets, we proceeded toward the checkout. While waiting, I overheard the same staff member speaking with other staff and a security guard, implying that we had broken the bottle. When asked, she pointed toward my husband.nnI approached the group to clarify the situation and asked why the matter was being discussed without speaking to us directly. As the staff member was not wearing a name badge, I asked for her name so I could raise the issue with senior management; however, she refused to provide it. At that point, two other staff members became involved. One staff member incorrectly stated that my husband had not informed anyone about the issue, and another spoke to us in a raised voice, suggesting that we were responsible for breaking the bottle. This interaction left us feeling extremely humiliated in front of other customers. Later, another staff member, who I believe was named Swati, apologised and acknowledged that it was an honest mistake.nnOur family regularly shops at Chemist Warehouse, but this experience highlighted the need for better customer service training and respectful communication. Customers should be listened to and treated fairly so issues can be resolved calmly and professionally. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to prevent similar experiences for other customers Due to this experience, we have decided that we will not be returning to this store for future purchases. “Lastly, I apologise for the delay in bringing this incident to your attention. Due to the nature of the experience, we needed some time to gather our thoughts before formally reporting it.”
3 minutes left until closing hours, and I wanted to quickly grab my click-and-collect items since I was in the area, but islander security guard locked me out and said its closed. I said it's not even 9 yet, tried to show him my receipt on my phone that I was just doing just a C&C at the counter but he dismissed me and continued to close the door. So just a heads up: if you need something urgently or last minute, they will turn you away. Might aswell change your closing hours to 08:50pm.nnMost of the items I need from this store are out of stock, and usually when I'm there there's no staff in the fragrance aisle. There's a security guard possibly Indian he does his job well and is usually helpful in calling someone to assist, but I've seen staff yell at him for letting them know that customers need help. I have noticed that a lot of people have been frustrated with this security guard because he watches everyone like a hawk and is quick to check baggage and receipts which have offended quite a few people. I was annoyed with him at first cause it felt like he was accusing me of something but after he apologized I understood he was just doing his job.nnClick & collect has its own line but there's hardly ever anyone there and I have to wait there awkwardly for a while. The Indian security will call someone to assist me and they'll yell at him that they're busy. I do prefer C&C though as the regular lines are usually long and slow.nnPharmacy, made me wait for houuurs with a sick child then ended up telling me to come back the following day, I got a text that medicine was ready for pick up.. I turned up the next day and had to wait more hours for my child's medicine. The wait is always crazy and not worth it in my opinion.
I reached there 4 minutes before closing time but the security guard said that the store is closed, I explained to him that my daughter is unwell and it will take me just 1 minute to get the medicine. There were 3-4 staff there but no one helped And one of the staff memberslooks like indian lady said that you had the whole day, then why are you coming now?like seriously????neveryone says that people in New Zealand are polite but I don't understand what to say about this kind of behavior.
I went to Chemist Warehouse to check out a perfume, but there was nobody around to help, the staff were too busy chatting with each other. When I finally asked for assistance, they seemed annoyed that I even asked. The only friendly person in the whole store was the security guard an Islander man, I think he was polite and welcoming.nnWhen I did get help, I was told I couldn’t even smell the perfume before buying it. I was looking at a $300 perfume, of course I need to smell it before deciding! The whole experience was really disappointing. Awful service overall. It costs nothing to be kind.
