This is a really nice park to walk, cycle or generally hang out in. There are ponds, tracks and a playground for the kids. And a lot of space to explore. It's far enough from the main shopping areas to be quiet, but not enough to be isolated.
Great open space for walkers and joggers. Sad that more bins have been removed and we constantly see people near the playground area dump all sorts of rubbish, which is near the gutter, carpark and easy access for dogs and other local birds for cross contamination and disease. Our dogs love it there mostly to hunt for rabbit poo
Lovely outlook across Barry Curtis Park.nI like that some of the street names near the park are named after former All Blacks!
Great park to run, walk, jog or ride bikes, scooters or skateboards. Theres a huge field to play soccer, rugby, cricket etc. A basketball court and towards the end a skate park. We found a mountain bike trail as well. Stunning views.
I went here today with my friends at around 10pm I think. The place is really nice. It was my first time walking around this area. It is really well lit and seems safe to walk around at night. But the lights automatically switch off at around 11pm, so if you are afraid of the dark bring a flashlight. But overall, it is a really nice area to hang with your friends and maybe it is much better in the morning.
