Mangemangeroa Reserve

Recommend the 1hr Shelly Beach Path for a good cardio workout with lots of stairs, uphill and downhill. There are 30mins and 45mins options too. Be careful after the rains as some points are too slippery. We loved this trek!

My husband and I visited Mangemangeroa Reserve on 3/2/2024. We both love the short hike and the breathtaking views there.nnThere are three different hiking trails, namely Rotary Loop, Hayley Lane Reserve and Shelly Park Reserve.nnWe highly recommend you to visit there if you happen to drive to East Auckland.

Beautiful reserve and walk with stunning views and great shade areas and play areas for dogs. There is a 30min, 45min and 1h loops and a lovely fenced area for dogs to run lose.

Such a delightful trail walk through gorgeous forest trees and waterways leading to Shelley Park beach to Cockle bay. A must do for a moderate hike.

Glad I stumbled upon this reserve! So close to Botany and Manukau city, its an easy walk down to the beach or via the top on the grass lawn. Amazing views all round especially of the east coast!
