Botanical Gardens is the best place to go for a walk amongst beautiful plants and meandering walkways. I always feel relaxed and refreshed afterwards. One of my favourite places.
This is a great dog and off leash area, respectful dog owners and nice to meet and greet... Unusual for me to find something negative, I do have to say this 1. People who do not have, or are not keen on dogs can be really offensive and Thick... Its a DOG park. 2. Poop bins, no recyclable bins and signs to take your poop home to save landfill... So you can put it in your own bin... To go to the landfill.. :>/
Me and my dog nearly got attacked by bigger dog. The owner of the bigger dog wasn't friendly. We ask him to hold his dog but he was standing there and watching doing nothing like least bothered. I was screaming and then my dad told him why don't you keep your dog on leash knowing he is dangerous breed. It's not safe for smaller dogs in botanical garden off leash area where people aren't bothered when their bigger dog attacks little ones and poor little dog owners get in situation and don't feel safe to walk around. The off leash area should be divided in 2 parts one for bigger dog and one for smaller dogs so they all feel safe. Please if do something about it otherwise every other day little dogs get attacks by bigger dogs.
This isn't a place to walk, if you want that use the hill road entrance. This is off lead for dogs. However beautiful for dog people. Update a wheelchair can get through the entrance. No wheelchair parking. No change. Be careful with the Rain, stay on the Paths. No change. No change.
The dog loved it!! At the moment, better to keep to the paths!! Pretty muddy in places, but the dog was in his element, and a quick spray with the garden hose took care of him when we got home!!
