The Auckland Chinese Lantern Festival is a fantastic annual event, and this year's was no exception. The displays of lanterns were truly amazing, beautifully representing Chinese culture. Beyond the lanterns, there was so much to see and do! We enjoyed the movie areas, and the variety of food, toy, and clothing stalls was impressive. It was also interesting to see the Chinese medicine consultations and the horoscope stand. My kids were absolutely mesmerized by everything, and the breathtaking fireworks at the end were the perfect finale to a wonderful evening. Highly recommended!

Don’t know about The Sports Bowl, we went there recently to attend BNZ Auckland Lanterns festival.nnI never know Auckland has this many number of people, just joking .nnIt was a wonderful experience through a wonderland. My daughter enjoyed a lot. A lot of lanterns, live performances, food and shopping for kids nnPlease see the photos and videos I’m adding.
Large park has a greyhound track,velodrome cycling track.basketball stadium. Parking onsite lots of trees to shade from the hot sun was the venue for the commonwealth games in the past now hosting the Chinese Lantern Festival. Plenty of room to run free.2mins from Manukau city centre mall and right next to motorway.
Best place to host an event like polyfest. Lots of space and parking areas. Or park on the streets. Be organise with your travels to and from polyfest.
