I grew up around this place - used to have a paper round that passed by it back when it was surrounded by fields and I still like to pop back and visit on occasion.nThough it always seems smaller than I remember.nThere are some great bush walks, a nice picnic area, and in the summer, swimming pools.
Had so much fun, this is a great walk suitable for kids as well.

Hands down this is now my favorite park in the North Island! Absolutely pristine with so much space! Its huge! There are ample of tracks for walker and some amazing areas and trails for mountain bikers. There are also picnic areas and lots of off street parking around most of the park. The lookout is spectacular but you cannot drive up at this point in time. However it's a very short walk from the street. We spent a good couple of years here and only saw a tiny portion of the park. Only thing to note there are limited toilets here.
Went up to Four corners first time visiting. The views were amazing seeing a different view of the surrounding South Auckland area. Never heard of Four corners it is a must. Walking tracks, and sitting areas for a picnic.
