I’m very thankful to everyone who work here. From the lovely receptionists whose kind smiles, sweet dispositions and good mornings Really make people like me smile widely inwardly, if not outwardly. Every GP at this practice are so wonderfully compassionate, beautiful souls and it’s their very nature to truly and deeply care for their patients. And anyone they see for that matter :-. Mr Dewitt is hands down the greatest GP I have ever had and will ever have I apologise for singling you out there, sir. Shout out to you for being you, my good man. You always go the extra mile for us and I hope you know how truly and deeply appreciated you are by your patients. And I’m certain the same goes for any of the GPs here whose hearts are always set on having the best outcome for their patients. Have been with these guys for years, I think overall the doctors are great and retention of their staff is fairly good. Reception staff are onto it and nurses are always kind.nI sadly live rurally so have made the decision to move to a clinic in Selwyn to avoid the 50min drive here but would recommend.

Awful people judgemental , reception and doctors always get looked at funny my male doctor didn’t really seem to want to really help me out / blood testing centre also very rude

I have been coming to Barrington Medical since I was 13 years old I'm now 23. I have recently found that all the doctors I have seen have barely taken the time to ask me how my chronic health condition affects me every day. It should be important to take time with a client who has a condition that impacts them severly.nI felt I wasn't being heard when I'd require about certain topics that I came in for. At times I felt judged or uncomfortable. I explained how I struggle with quite bad anxiety and I find it difficult coming in for doctors appointments as its overwhelming and then was handed a form to drop in somewhere though it could have been scanned through. They also discouraged me from a benefit because they wouldn't see me for '2 years' even while I fit the exact criteria. Keep in mind I come in for medication and blood tests every 3 to 6 months so that should have not been an issue at all. I've had more negative interactions than positive.nA bit more compassion and empathy would go quite farnnDo betternNgā mihi
