AA Centre - Sydenham

This place has very friendly staff who will help you straight away after you enter the building. The queue is not that bad compared to other AA centre. When I did my driving theory test in this place, I met Melissa, who patiently helped me with all the requirements and encouraged me to do my best on my test. She also explained in detail about the test, the procedure, and also about the AA membership.

Went in this morning early before 9am. Long queues already probably because one of the only licensing places open over the holidays. They did have some to help as soon as you came in the door which was good and a couple of chairs you could sit in while waiting. We were there about 35-40 min and then the NZTA image capture crashed and they had to close and send us away, all that time and our travel time wasted. Really annoying. To their credit the centre has changed the licensing to temporarily closed. So hard to call to a centre to talk to anyone.nnUpdate: we went back 10:54am, finally finished by 12:09pm. A long time to wait in a queue.

I visited the AA Centre in Sydenham this morning for identity verification.nI arrived before 8:30 AM, and there were already a few people in line.nThe centre opened on time, and a staff member asked visitors about the purpose of their visit and directed us where to line up. Everything was well-organized.nMy visit was completed in just four minutes. Georgia was so friendly and efficient—thank you, Georgia! nIt was a pleasant experience visiting the AA Centre in Sydenham.

I visited AA in Sydenham today to renew my driver’s licence and was very impressed with the service received. There were only 3 staff visible and between them they managed the queue and people’s needs efficiently, politely and professionally.nThe staff I encountered were Rodney and Georgia and I applaud their expertise. You are both a credit to AA. An excellent experience and you exceeded my expectations, well done, thank you.

Waited nearly 90 minutes to get photos taken for RealMe. I cannot fault the staff for the long wait, as they were trying their very best and were very friendly,nbut unfortunately out of the 4 staff, only two were qualified to deal with RealMe.nI nearly lost the will to live in that queue, and this old, unfit for purpose building. I feel for the staff having to work in such a depressing place.nThe system really needs an overhaul
