Essie Summers Retirement Village

In general the staff were very caring of our nana who had terminal cancer and dementia however after she passed we found that some of her jewellery and cash had been stolen from her room. It was in a zipped pocket in her handbag in the bottom drawer of her dressing table so someone had obviously had a good rifle through her stuff to find it. Whilst anyone can enter the building I think only a staff member would have been so bold. It possibly could have been taken after she passed and was still in the room! When management was advised they showed little sympathy and appear to have done little to investigate or warn others entering the home of the risk to their property. Please take this as a warning that you or your loved ones valuables may not be safe in the care of Essie summers!

My father had very poor treatment and there was a lack of respect in the hospital unit. Management had poor communication and were rude to my mother about her care. Would not recommend.
