Woolworths at Smithfield First Visited on 12/7/2022 This supermarket is different from many others; it has wide open frontage. Other than that, the store layout is similar to almost all Woolworths, with vegetables displayed at waist level on the right side of the store, frozen food on the left, and dairy and chilled products at rear end. Overall, it is a clean and bright store. Although I am technologically savvy, I still like to go through the staffed checkout. My wife is in queue, while I stand at the front end of the counter, ready to help in packing. The staff was chatty when serving the customer in front of my wife. However, my wife receives not even a Hello from the same staff. I wonder she suffers from split personality disorder. After my wife has paid for the groceries, there is not a word of "thank you" or "have a nice day" from the staff. I can stand no more, and ask rather cheekily, "have you lost your smile today?" She does not expect this and is taken aback. She gives me a big grin. I have marked down the rating for such service, and I hope the management take note of this to provide better training, and improve PR. After all, Coles is at the other end of the shopping centre.
Was just served by a guy in a bright yellow Banana tshirt… think he’s name was Barry he had red hair. He was awesome… super fast service and even lifted my bag into the cart for me! This store really needs more trolley bays in the car park. I have my toddler with me, I can’t push the pram and him together, so I have to abandon the trolley, as I can’t leave him in the car by himself as I trek to one of the far off trolley bays. It’s really inconvenient and probably inconvenient for the men who have to go and get all the trolleys too. Please add trolley bays to both ends of each car parking row.
I a loyal Woollies customer,but the produce selection is lacking compared to Coles. Birdseye frozen vegetables are at greater variety than Woollies. Chicken packed meals could be better at Woollies.
This afternoon, I had the best experience at the Woolworths pick up. I unfortunately didn’t get her name but the lady who brought the shopping to my car was the most helpful, lovely lady. She was so apologetic about items they didn’t have even though they were run off their feet and she substituted for better items. Just great customer service Thankyou so much!

Usually one of the better supermarkets to call in to in the region but today's visit was a complete shambles. I was there between 5.30-6.30pm & I lost count of the amount of near misses I had with shelf stockers as they threw their cages & pallets around the store. Pallets full of stock over head height, parked in ridiculous places at the end of the busiest aisles right in front of the milk. I had to literally jump over & squeeze between pallets to get to one section of the store at the front as it was completely blocked off. The last massive store relay still hasn't been completed with some sections still not making sense. And to top it all off, all the special tickets that were still current were being removed from the shelf faster than I could shop. I had to open up the app to check what was still on special - at least wait until peak shopping time has ended before you do that please! I will be back because you're my local & I can't stand "No-Stock-Coles", but I'm not sure what day is best now because on Mondays your shelves are bare too! Please make an effort to improve, guys. You are making the weekly shop stressful!
Woolworths in Smithfield has always been pleasant to shop however, having not been there for some time, l was taken aback to see on a Thursday night that the majority of the shops were closed at 5:45pm leaving only the grocery store, and a burger store open...of course the cinema was open and dan Murphy's was open and a couple of restaurants. But the whole of the complex inside was blocked off showing that it is closed. so sad to see a shopping centre slowly diminishing like that...no doubt the repercussions of covid.
Woolies Smithfield has seniors hours and low sensory stimulus hours for the elderly and parents of kids with autism. In store deli, bakery and a great selection of fruit and veg.
I absolutely love this woolworths, the staff are amazing and friendly, they know me and my kids by name which says a lot about them. The store layout is great.
Awesome. Just another Woolies. I got my Willie's worth with a gift card that I bought on zip pay . Was cool once I got it worked out
