Pretty great, normal looking countdown. Only downfall is they don't care about their stock. I walked in and watched to get some fruits and the entire fruit section is full of fruit flies, moldy blueberries found a blueberry pack with a yellow sticker which just feels weird, soft onions and rotting tomatoes. They also run out of paper towels really quickly but take forever to restock.
As a regular shopper here , very clean as easy to shop around and caring staffs too .. today was served by Rohan as I had plenty groceries So this staff was very fast and was onto it .He acknowledge me with a smile and humble attitude , he knew what he was doing …. Very impressive , it’s good that you guys have this kind of staffs too
Amazing store, layout seems to be made like no other Countdowns, a nice store & slightly confusing layout, perhaps that makes it different from any other stores. Ambient atmosphere makes pleasant shoppings. You'd visit to experience it.
I found the staff were very rude when i had made a complaint,they saying my child looked suspicious,because he is 13,he needed id??who was with my daughter who is 27,with id,and couldnt buy her a wine,who are they to judge,my daughter was buying my wine not my 13yr old ,honestly I'm loyal to this countdown, shop there every week,this one time I had a very bad experience, what's happening out there??might have to change to pak n save unless countdown are genuine with an apology.
Great experience of shopping. Has all you need, including, grocery, bakery, medicines, and other household stuff as well.

Good handy place to shop groceries. Always organized. Prefer it over both Papakura stores. Staff are helpful, however recently they have been run out of lot of basics and shelves were empty on regular basis.
I used to work at New World and was taught about customer service and the importance of attending to customers and giving them the best experience... making them feel like they are the only one there. In Countdown Takanini, i do not see this.... staff are not attentive to customers and they said we make them do double work, I feel they should have more understanding towards the customer on their side. Not impressed
Staff are friendly, always well stocked.
The entrance was dirty with old receipts and used masks right at the door entrance. Not very inviting. Also people begging at the entrance door
