I had a serious incident to report, and was helped by a lovely younger staff member. She pointed me in the right direction to her duty manager Indian Male. He did not want to help, and was highly racist only servicing Brown customers other Indian people not Māori or Islanders with respect ,care and patience.nI waited for him to be free, to approach him and he as the duty manager,nTold me to go back to the younger employee…without even wanting to look at me and to tell her to call his boss. The younger employee was busy serving customers, while another elderly lady served at the till he was on. Giving me full space and understanding of the serious matter at hand, while he just carelessly didn’t want to manage the situation or have anything to do with it. Very frustrating and traumatic. I will never be coming back here. I’ve only been here twice ! The first time I ever came into contact with him, was in the returns checkout. He was speaking his language to another employee in front of me as if I wasn’t there, and looked as if he was scolding hernIndian women,nAfter he was done, she apologised to me and told me that she wasn’t even suppose to be in this department check out/returns and was so lovely and really did help.nBut I do remember this duty manager and the lack of care and professionalism he has towards Pacific Islander/Maori people and his own staff members are shocking. If you’re not an Indian customer , you’re not as welcomed or welcomed at all.nAll women that helped me during both visits, were nothing but overworked angels, all races , did not discriminate or belittle other staff or customers but this one duty manager was truly very disappointing and truly unhelpful.
Found what I was looking for rather quickly. Checkout was fast and easy. I'm not from Auckland, so I was not used to the traffic when trying to get across the road into the parking lot, but that's a me issue.
Excellent Service. Kevin was super helpful and very knowledgeable, knew exactly what we were after and he made it very easy for us to get the correct product. Would highly recommend approaching Kevin at the Takanini store for electrical and plumbing needs. He is an asset to your store!
Not too old. Heaps of parking and well planned store. Shelves are always full and doesn't get busy most times. Staff are very friendly and efficient. I always find what I want. Excellent range. Getting out of the carpark can be a pain though. The main road is almost always bumper to bumper.
The lady in the paint area today was abrupt and rude she really needs to be more customer service friendly. I was polite she was not at all.
