Woodards Real Estate Mount Waverley

After the tenants fell more than $5000 behind under Woodards Mt Waverley’s management and my numerous requests for the agents manager, Peter Alamaras, to call me, Peter finally called me and was incredibly rude and belittling towards me. He continually spoke to me in a patronising manner and when I said to him “Peter, don’t be a di$k”, he said that he is no longer managing the property and that I can come and collect the file on Monday. I said that you can’t do that and he said “How much do you want to bet, I’m a Partner”. He also said that he had other people listening in to our phone conversation. When I asked who else was listening in, he said that legally he does not have to tell me. He then said “I have dealt with you before and knew what I needed to do”. I was flabbergasted that the agent that I bought the property through and that I then appointed to manage the property would speak to me in such an appalling manner and demonstrate deceptive and drastically unprofessional behaviours such as this. It is needless to say that I quickly changed agents. It then took many months of my constant hounding before they finally handed over what proved to be incomplete and inadequate tenancy information. This experience prompted me to lodge a complaint with the REIV and Woodards Corporate Office. In response, the director of Woodards Mt Waverley called me and advised me that there is nothing he can do about Peters behaviour and asked me what I thought he should do.

Had a very bad experience with this agency (property manager Lena). She always took ages to reply back, and I had a maintenance issue that took 3 months to be fully resolved. A lot of back and forth and temporary fix were organised. Instead of getting professionals to fix the issue. Always had to follow up a few times before getting a reply. Lena was also very rude and not Helpful at all.

My number is on the Do Not Call Register. After calling me anyway, Woodards Mount Waverley lied to me and told me that my number was not on the Do Not Call Register. If they're prepared to be dishonest over a simple thing like that, what will they do when they've got a commission on the line?

From a landlords point of view I would not recommend this company at all. We have leased the same house for 3 years and would like to continue to do so. However for the % fee they must charge the owner they do absolutely nothing. We are lucky to have one inspection a year. If they do inspect then it's a 3 minute look in the front door. We have had to follow up every year about another 12 month extension. When I call they don't return calls, EVER. There have been so many staff changes at one point they actually got me to deal directly with the owner. Luckily for us the owner is lovely and at the risk of backlash from the Mt Waverley office I hope who ever reads this takes note. As with previous reviews I give praise when the service is good so I am not a disgruntled renter. We look after the house we rent, better than most. Landlord beware. I am sure they promise everything but they will give you nothing.

The property managers constantly change and never get back to us we have been chasing constant issues for months and months over 4 years we've lived here and it's been terrible, they just forget about us. This new guy seems better though! He just called me back! 😮
